  1. Someone should be able to clone and build a new version. I'll be watching for a vintage unit, too.

    SE Sunday's Shave
    zcws.gif

    Proraso Pre Shave
    Soap Commander Renewal
    Frank Shaving Badger
    Gem 1911 Lather Catcher
    Original Gem Cutlery SE
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Lucky Tiger

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Soap Commander Renewal Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Frank Shaving Badger brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  12. I cheated on my Straight razors today, with an oldie of a Single Edge razor. I had a so-so 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. After shaving with Straight Razors for so long, This felt rough, and hard to find a comfortable angle. Its a pleasure to look at, but might take some time for me to dial in a comfortable shave with it. The handle was special made by our very own, JR( @Jayaruh ) It's a larger, more comfortable copy of some of the original handles.

Razor- "Star Kampfe New York" K code, Duel Star.
    Blade- Gem
    Soap- Proraso Red(Sandalwood)
    Brush- B400 By Tom( @twhite )
    Aftershave- Proraso Red(Sandalwood)

  14. Thank you, Doug. The nice thing about the extreme cold and snow is I feel no guilt about hanging out indoors. :Animatedfrozensmily:

A buddy in San Diego forwarded me his Tantara razor he just bought and I have as much time as I want to give it a spin. Had it sent directly to me and he hasn't even seen it yet let along give it a spin. Suppose to be as smooth as a Timeless .95 so will see if the case tomorrow morning.

It will be interesting to read your review. Is it made in America and how much does it cost?

  20. Made in. Portagual and I believe he said $180. Came in a nice wooden box with a magnet one corner so can swing out out the way or you can remove the cover.
