Sounds like a lot of us have too many soaps, and are wanting to use some up. Shall we do a contest? Something like Neal is doing with the blade tucks. I'll figure out a prize, but for ever finished off tin, you get an entry. Drawing in December. Who's in?
Im in, but do we try to account for variation in amount of product actually used up ? IE sample vs 2.5oz shave stick vs 5.8oz tub of Stirling ? or is it just one entry per product being used up ?
This is what I should be doing. I may give this a try through the year and see what I can accomplish.
In. I'm a long way from finishing most of my soaps, though. I need a super destroyer brush. Looking at the Yaqi brushes but not sure I want to wait 30 days on shipping.
Considering I'm probably going to get a tub of soap for the winner, I think we can include the little containers as well. Maybe anything over an ounce?
I'd just be impressed if I finished a tub of anything in '18. I like the variety of using a different soap/scent each day, so it's unlikely that the bottom of any tins are in my future anytime soon. I'll say I'm in, but it's really just for show.
I think I am going to go with the "focus on one tub every other day until it is gone" method. That still allows for variety on alternate days. Should keep me happy enough to maintain the focus.
I’m in! Like others, though, I think this just might be for show. 14 tubs, 3 sticks and 4 tubes. (Let alone the 14 or so decent sized samples on top of that) Not a single one has less than 1/2 left. I’d have to focus on emptying a particular tub, and I doubt I’d show that type of determination. Cool idea, Adam.
My wife hasn’t said this directly, but about my Den in general, she made a comment that “you’re starting to look like that guy on your website with, like, a hundred brushes”. I took it as a compliment, although I’m not sure she meant it as one...
Looks like a different pic with the filter. Cool. Great write up earlier on the difference between the 1/2 DE blade and AC shavettes as well, Jim. Love the 66 as well, Perry. What an assassin! Haven’t tried a proline blade, though. Glad to hear your focus is working, Randy. What is the ‘house brand’ razor from Delta Echo? Great photo, Clint. I wonder if that soap is similar to Port-au-Prince from Stirling. It is a heavy Vetiver that took me awhile to appreciate as well. Great combo, Mark. I think it has inspired me to pull out my L’Orange Noir in a day or two. Happy Birthday, Doug! Love the complaint dept prop!
Thank you Jason. This is just straight vetiver. I think I will enjoy this one as well. I have Mystic Water Vetiver Oakmoss that is a little less intense.
