  1. Ahhh...finally.
  2. In a perfect universe, Kesha and Carly Rae are like matter and anti-matter, canceling each other out from the airwaves.

    However, that's not our universe.

    Shavettes and Jeeves January!

Razor - 1918 Gillette Old Style

    Pre-Shave - Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
Soap - Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

Staying with the Jeeves Bay Rum to stay on theme but a special shave today. It's 2018. I happen to own a Gillette Old Type that dates to 1918 by its serial number. That means it's 100 years old and still shaving like a brand new razor. I thought I'd give it a day or maybe a few days to shine in the spotlight. It really is special to use a razor that's been around a century, and this particular one was in the military issue box, meaning it may have even gone to war for a short time back then. Maybe, maybe not, but it's still 100 years old, looks fantastic and is just as aggressive and effective as day one.

Paired with the Rapira Swede it was a smooth shave since I made sure to hold the angle by riding the cap. Two passes, no touch ups, it's a nice DFS shave and the alum is quiet enough to not be a bother at all. Considering how I've sometimes butchered myself with this razor it was a fantastic birthday shave for the razor. It will remain a special part of my collection.

  4. The Cartel legal department is always ready to, ummmm, serve when needed. I can't guarantee their legal accuracy, but their powers of persuasion are better than most.
  5. They make impactful and persuasive arguments, no matter how you say it.

  6. So, if there was no specific prohibition laid down I'd say you're still clear for at least one new soap. You can always claim we made you do it.

  7. "Impactful" is a very appropriate word for their methods.

  16. Sounds like fun. I'm in, although to be honest I only remember finishing ONE tub of product ever and that was my Eternal Tub of TOBS Avocado Cream ( croap ). It took three months of persistent use to kill it, and that was before I bought all the other stuff. Nowadays I am a certified Soap Butterfly, flitting and sipping (soaping) from tube to tin at random. Of all my soaps and creams, a total of 70 are opened and in use.

Jeeves January is going to be the longest I have spent with any soap for quite awhile, and with three tubs and a shave stick in play, it isn't going to last long enough to kill any of them.

I may have to adopt the Titanic method and use one soap every other shave until it's gone...
