Two pass shave last night with the Slim, after a quick practise on my cheeks with the straight.

Dared to venture just below the jawline and paid for it with a decent scratch from the straight. Finished next 2 passes with DE but didn't push it with some areas near the jaw where I'd cut it. Not the best shave I've had.

So you finally got your Frenchie eh, Tom?

We're having frigid weather and a blizzard so Glacial menthol is out of the question, but I still got a very nice chill from the Arko Ice Mint cream along with its lovely scent and tons of lather for a great BBS shave. The Lucky Tiger balm did its part with the cooling, soothing effect and that Fougere Santal aftershave from Reef Point smells absolutely gorgeous!

Its crazy that they can survive THAT long in such good condition. I think that's my single favourite thing about straights and DE's over modern shaving tools

My cheeks feel amazing, but I did get a couple of weepers on my neck. The scent is one of my favorites. A friend gifted me this stand, which I recently rediscovered while looking through some boxes from our last move. It fits the brush perfectly.
