I think today I had the best shave of the new year thanks to the Electric Sheep soap. It lathered like there was no tomorrow and its great scent was ever-present in the bathroom the whole time. My face felt so good afterwards even before I used the Nip Man balm which is also excellent. The Booster Mosswood aftershave was the perfect finish!

Have the "blues" today as we couldn't leave for Tampa yesterday.

The Iridium Super shows no sign of weakening. Smooth & sharp. Nice BBS result with 2 passes and minor touch-ups.

Henri et Victoria Nautilus today. 20 seconds to load the Henri et Victoria High Mountain White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Schick Plus Platinum still in the Gillette Black Beauty. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Country Club Classic Fougere aftershave.

A fine three pass shave this morning. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️

 

They are actually asymmetrical Kamisori. One is ground for left handed use, the other right. They gave me a wonderful shave. I only did one pass and I’m DFS.

I spent two weeks on vacation with my Schick C3 - a great razor to travel with - both for it's fantastic shaves and since it can be loaded without an injector key. I learned that I can get as good a shave with 2 passes (skipping the WTG pass) as I can with 3. Now that I'm back I'll be using that with my straights. Tried it yesterday with my Filly and it worked just fine. Coming back to the straight after a long break was very enjoyable.

Post: Hot water rinse followed by cold water rinse.
Aftershave: Witch hazel/Nivea face cream topped off with VIBR

Great Saturday morning shave. I love the handle on the J189 brush; due to the length, it really shines for loading from a mug. The knot holds gobs of soap and always gives up volumes of lather. This US made straight is a dandy. It came looking like it had never been used.
No better combination than a straight shave with bay rum soap and as for a cold wintery morning: Enjoy your weekend, gentlemen

 

Believe it or not, that was my first guess, but I dismissed it.

I have to say that I am disappointed with this soap. The scent is beautiful, no doubt, but my skin starts to feel a burning sensation by the third pass and the protection is only mediocre. No repurchase here.
