I have done that myself. I always check for tightness now. Also, back in 1971 I had been shaving with a Wilkinson Sword Bonded razor. I believe it was the first or one of the first cartridge razors. It was one blade set in plastic that snapped into its handle. I had just changed blades and was starting my first pass on my left temple. OUCH! What have I done!! I took a hunk of skin out of the side of my head. After I attended the bleeding, I inspected the razor cartridge and found that the blade was set at an angle. It was a manufacturing defect. That was the last time I shaved with the Wilkinson Sword razor. I went back to my Schick L. To this day, that spot on the side of my head is still tender.
I've done it. Forgot to make sure the cap was screwed down tight, and the first scrape nearly took off my face. lol Talk about an aggressive shave...
Your mouth and elbow are not on the same hinge!!! Just because your elbow bends your mouth don't have to open!!!! LMAO
Hmmmm with all this talk about heads lost with butterfly razors. Would a straight razor not be the more safe(ty) razor?
Learned my lesson with the first stroke of my new Slim, Did not fully lock the doors. Now, 55 years later I still lock down thee doors
With me, it happens when I'm passing the razor from hand to hand, or rotating it to switch sides. If I don't pay attention to my pinkie, it'll start to turn the base knob. That's from a black handled SuperSpeed - I don't recall having the problem with the 40's style or the Aristocrat.
