Tuesday, January 9 AOS Lemon (Tallow)~~Paladin Cleo~~'55 Gillette President~~Personna 74~~AOS Lemon ASG/ASB I wonder why I even bother with my "modern" soaps, when the greatest soaps in my den are the ones that have been discontinued. I challenge anyone to show me a soap that produces a better lather than the vintage AOS, Williams or Old Spice. I am not talking about scents, which are subjective anyway, I am referring to the lather quality alone. Thank goodness I have a substantial stash of these. Have a great day!

I acknowledge that Tabac is in the same league as the soaps I listed. So, there goes my statement all blown to Hades! Can't really call Tabac a "modern" soap. There is some history there. I could have added a couple more vintage soaps to my list that perform equally as well: Figaro Sapone Speciale and Yardley, for example. Thank you for the compliment Andrew. I own a President, Aristocrat and a Diplomat and they are all basically the same razor. Close your eyes* and you would not be able to tell the difference. * Don't try that at home.

I would love to try some vintage Williams at some point. I've seen it on the Bay for about $10 to $12.
