SOTD January 10, 2018 Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Treet Razor: GEM G-Bar Brush: JR #41 black badger Soap: Williams Post: Witch hazel, Barbasol Pacific Rush aftershave WTG, touch up Nice shave with smooth results. I contend that modern Williams is good soap. It needs water and attention while loading but can produce lather that is just as good and slick as many other soaps that I have. All around nice for this one. Have a great day!
This shave was done for the sake of love to my wife because it was her who gave me this wonderful Frozen Cranberry soap from Soap Smooth and this absolutely beautifully-smelling Fougere Santal aftershave from Reef Point as gifts last year. The soap has a very nice scent of cranberry with tropical notes of sangria, it lathers in a flash and so thick as well as dense. It's mentholated very strongly - in fact I'd say it easily compares to Rod's Frozen Tundra. It left a comfortable post-shave feel on my skin and the Fougere Santal gave me a good cooling sensation, but what really freaks me out is the scent because it's soooooooo magnificent. 10 January 2018 This morning's shave reminded me why I took Voskhod blades out of my rotation. Just the 3rd shave but it tugged like crazy, too many touch-ups. Luckily no cuts or weepers. Still managed a DFS though and the Clubman never disappoints. The Derby cream is a bargain IMHO. Whips up a nice amount of lather in no time. Decent scent, good cushion and rather slick. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Schick Plus Platinum still in the Gillette Black Beauty. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with RazoRock Tuscan Oud aftershave. Bob

Zero irritation and BBS. For now it's the most reliably top-notch razor/blade combo. It may seem like a large/clumsy razor, but the Futur is a great shaving tool.
