    Razorock Plissoft Brush
    Stirling Frozen Tundra
    Classic Samurai Shavette
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Clubman VI Bay Rum

A pretty nice shave this morning with the Classic Samurai. Two passes and a DFS, and if I had spent a few minutes on clean up, I probably could have caught that baby. I noticed a newer member of the gym walk past me as shaving this morning and do a double take. When he came back by, he looked at me and said: "Old school straight, huh?" I showed him my shavette, and he was impressed. He then went on a slight rant about how expensive carts were, to which I told him this way could be cheaper, unless you went off the deep end like I had. I could tell he definitely had some interest. It will be interesting to see if he looks into it further.

I hope everyone has a great day!

2nd day with the GEM Jr, and another smooth shave. Face-lathered a nice lather and a pretty routine 3 pass shave with this handy shaver.
    Have a great day all!

Beautiful set up, Keith. Do you have quite a stash of those Blue blades? I’ll try to keep an eye out for some for you.

Well done with the Williams, Perry. You do better with it than most!
Another stunner! Just a beautiful looking knot in that Thater, Clint.

Thanks, Jason! I've had disappearing lather from Williams many times. I think one of the keys is to build the lather slowly. It's a thirsty soap but you have to add water in tiny bits or you'll overdo it. Definitely finicky but not a bad soap by any means.

Thater called it white because they will be coming out shortly with a banded boar that looks more like a badger brush. This is Thater's first effort at making a boar brush. I find the knot to be a more dense than an Omega 49. I also find it breaking in quicker which is more like a Zenith Boar brush. The handle is something special. It feels better than some of my custom brushes.

The Iced Coffee Scent does sound very interesting.

The Joris is a great looking razor. It has to be aggressive for you to keep using it.

Great photo Perry. Good to see the carbon blades working out for you. They didn't like my face at all. ;)

Great photo and story Jim. You might have a convert.

    Wonderful photo and lineup Jason.

Wonderful lineup and photo as usual Mark.

It's been a rough last couple of days. On Monday, my younger brother was taken to the hospital with what they thought was a stroke. It turns out that it wasn't, but he is having a series of small seizures. They haven't found a cause yet, but have him on a 24-hour EEG. The current theory is that it may be a long-term effect from his schizophrenia meds. Today is the first day since then which has at least started out normal.

My Dorco Prime Platinum blades came yesterday, so I pulled one out for today's shave. With the FB Tech, it made for a nice, smooth experience. BBS or close enough with no issues. I think that as much as I like certain Stainless blades, my ultimate favorites are the Platinum ones.

I will admit to possibly down playing the unforeseen costs of traditional wet shaving. Isn't that how recruiting to a new cult I mean hobby occurs?

Absolutely! I started down this path in order to save money from Mach 3 cartridges. I was convinced by YouTube videos that this was the cheap way to go! And it is if you aren't like most of us!
