  6. Sunday shave:

Out of focus. A big Riga Razor with a wickedly sharp edge. I think I was to aggressive due to smooth and sharp edge, a tickle from the alum left me just short of epic.

  8. I’ve been away all day so I’m a bit late today but I wanted to give a quick PSA with only CFFLs and LEDs as a choice go with LEDs they are considerably safer and mostly plastic so still recyclable. CFFLs are poisonous if broken so not a great choice at all.

  9. Thanks guys. I wouldn’t say it hurt as much as the fact that it just wouldn’t stop bleeding...It is marginally sharper than a Sayuri ;)
  10. Great shave today using B&M Lavender Lime and Cedar both soap and AS. I love this scent and so does the wifey. Stuck with the Schick injector for another day and used the Bruce for the lather.

  11. Good point! I'm just a bit disillusioned after watching a couple of YouTube videos where they dissected cheap LED bulbs that had failed. The issues seemed to be poor design coupled with poor quality components (e.g., series wired LEDs where one failed and the rest went out like old school Christmas lights).

January 13 -Friday Fatboy on a Saturday

    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette 195 Fatboy
    Blades - sharp-star.jpg (2)
    Soap - Stirling Iced Coffee
    Brush - Stirling Synthetic
    Post - Alum

Boy this new schedule has me messed up. This feels like Thursdayto me, not Saturday, and last night, which was Friday, felt like any other day but Friday. So, since I missed Fatboy Friday I'm making it up today. Fatboy with a Sharp Star and I couldn't resist pairing the Pro Style Stirling brush with the Iced Coffee soap.

The soap is a bit thirsty compared to some of its brethren, but with a slow addition of water it produced an incredible load in the brush that turned into a thick and slick lather on my face. I love the smell of this soap and the color of the lather is a bit like a latte. Really cool stuff. And works great!

Fatboy on 6, which is ironic since I prefer that over setting me, and two passes and touch ups brought the baby right into the room. Alum was quiet, the scent is lingering, and all is right with the world.

Ok, so I have to remember that tomorrow is Sunday and see if I can reset my internal clock!

  15. I have actually worked in MO a fair amount in the winter time, and it is a scary place to drive when it snows. It’s a combination of a horrible road system, and people who drive on snow just often enough to have shed the fear, but not often enough to really be any good at it.
  16. The first guy already dropped, so you can cave anytime now without shame.

  17. A couple of years ago, wife bought every last 60W incandescent bulb that Home Depot had in the store. I have an entire bedroom full of them, I swear.
  18. In MN, we are beginning to realize the folly in LED traffic lights. They don’t keep the ice and snow melted away from them, and we are having accidents and big congestion because of it. Now MNDot is putting together a panel/investigation/money pit etc... to figure out how to heat the lights. I swear it is enough to make blood shoot from your eyeballs.

  19. I know it is mainly because of all the travel I do, but my SRX is rapidly becoming one of my most used razors. It only trails the Feather since I started keeping track five months ago.
  20. Who caved? I must have missed it.
