Those Aristocrats sure look nice. Love vintage gear. Looks like your case for the razor is in remarkable condition.

If you haven't yet, get an Aristocrat. They shave great and in my opinion, at least mine, it shaves at about #6 on a Fatboy. Got the case from @Jorvaljr, but now I need the correct blade dispenser. Instruction sheet is a reproduction, but it works.

I have this soap and I have to tell you that it pairs perfectly with Chanel's Egoiste EDT fragrance.

Oh. There you go showing off that awesome Catie's Bubbles limited edition soap/splash set. I see how this is. I might have to pull out my Catie's Bubbles limited edition Confiant set this week just so that I feel less jealous about your post.

I hope you didn't miss out on the second run of The Dark Side. He had pre-orders up for something like 2 weeks and it closed on the 10th, I believe.

What? I didn't know that. How can I get these alerts and stay 'in the know'?

I will keep a look out for one. Finding these vintage razors takes a decent amount of searching to locate 2nd hand. And to find one with an intact case is very tough.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the B-400 badger brush. I did two passes with the Henckels Rapide Razor with a Henckels wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Well, this was my last shave for the Wedge Pass Around, and it was a very nice one, indeed. The blade was very smooth and I ended up with a great two-pass shave. I stropped it 50 times. I cleaned both razors with my electric toothbrush and dried them with a towel. I have repackaged everything and included a little surprise for zykris . I printed a label and have it all ready to go out in the mail. But, tomorrow is Presidents Day, so it will not go out until Tuesday. OH, NO! Be patient, David, it will get to you.

My thanks again to @twhite for this generous pass around. I have some great pictures and nice memories now, and now I am on the lookout for my own wedge razor.

I emailed Chris Cullen and hope that maybe I can still squeeze in on this. We'll see.

January 13 -Friday Fatboy on a Saturday

Boy this new schedule has me messed up. This feels like Thursdayto me, not Saturday, and last night, which was Friday, felt like any other day but Friday. So, since I missed Fatboy Friday I'm making it up today. Fatboy with a Sharp Star and I couldn't resist pairing the Pro Style Stirling brush with the Iced Coffee soap.

The soap is a bit thirsty compared to some of its brethren, but with a slow addition of water it produced an incredible load in the brush that turned into a thick and slick lather on my face. I love the smell of this soap and the color of the lather is a bit like a latte. Really cool stuff. And works great!

Fatboy on 6, which is ironic since I prefer that over setting me, and two passes and touch ups brought the baby right into the room. Alum was quiet, the scent is lingering, and all is right with the world.

Ok, so I have to remember that tomorrow is Sunday and see if I can reset my internal clock!
