January 2018 Shavettes and Jeeves January! January 14 Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette 195 Fatboy Blades - (3) Soap - Tabac Brush - 30DC LE Post - Alum A rather long and weary Sunday for some reason. Busy all day at work but made no real money. Just busy stuff. It's snowing a bit and cold again so, yeah. I decided to keep it easy tonight and just grab the fatboy again. Need a comfort soap. Tabac will do the trick. To me, Tabac and Mitchell's Wool Fat are like mashed potatoes and gravy. Familiar and reliable comfort to give you a great shave and after-feel with little hassle. The LE brush for the great and easy lather. Two passes and touch ups with the Fatboy on 6 and it's a near BBS. I could have done one more pass and been there, but the baby isn't really the point. The point is I had a nice, relaxing shave and an end to a hectic day. The Zen of shaving my friends. Hope your week is off to a great start in the morning!
Haha yeah, me too. As long as it wasn't the boy getting hurt I'm not bothered. And as a plus it wasn't my face!

Yesterday's shave was so good.....I was back to a super smooth face with 1 complete pass and a touch up. I am afraid I broke all the rules and started with an ATG.....but it worked. I must be getting the hang of it as there was no post shave alum sting

Pre: Warm water face wash Brush: Semogue 2000 Boar Soap: Stirling Spice Razor: Valet AutoStrop VC-1 Blade: Gem SS (de-spined) Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Vitamin E Oil, Old Spice AS This my favourite of the VCs that I own and I think the sole reason is, it takes a Gem blade rather than the Feather. A very enjoyable shave ensued on a wet, miserable and cold Monday morning.

MLK Day Of Service My students and I are doing a day of service today to honor Revered Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We are going to a food pantry and working in the warehouse. Solid shave with Ginger's Garden. The lather did seem to dry out a bit, perhaps I needed to load the brush more. By the end the lather was plenty thick. Overall a close and comfortable shave.

Prep: Hot towel Pre shave: Prep Razor: Sensor Excel Blade: N/A Brush: New Forest Tubby 1 Finest Soap: Skaneateles Soap Company: Lemon Ice Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / The Sudsy Soapery: Lavender & Peppermint Aftershave Splash A lamb tallow, lanolin and goat's milk soap from Skaneateles Soap Company, a soapmaker that I discovered on Etsy... Well, colour me impressed... the lather took a bit of work, being a thirsty beast, but boy oh boy what an impressive lather... a very lush lather, offering excellent protection and slickness, providing the base for a faultless shave.. Yeah, that really was an outstanding shave.
Mon. 1/15/18 Excellent three pass shave this morning. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️
