Menthol Monday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave C.O. Bigelow JR#206 2-band Badger Schick H "The Hussy" Schick Twin CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Vegetal I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the JR #206 2-band Badger brush. I did two passes with the Schick H Razor with a Schick Twin blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... This was my first shave with the Hussy. @wchnu sent it to me to test drive. @twhite sent me some Schick Twins to use saying that it takes it to a new level. I must say that the resulting shave was not to be equaled. The weird handle took some getting used to, and I am not sure I am used to it yet. I will be using it through Friday, so that should give me time to get accustomed to it. The other thing was that it clogs pretty easily. If I were a hot water guy, that probably would not have been much of an issue.

Try thinning out your lather just a bit with some water and that should help with the clogging up of the blades. The backs of the carts should have been open from day one like Sensor carts were later for rinsing. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
I used my new to me Gem G-bar/heavy flat top this morning for a wonderful and close shave. I won this razor in our December raffle. Thanks to @Herm2502 for donating the G-bar. I have/had a G-bar which my son has “borrowed” a few months back, so he can officially keep my old one. Interestingly enough, this G-bar seems more aggressive than my old one. It’s still a great shave and I love it, but there must be some differences in the manufacturing that results in the aggressiveness. Either way, this is a great razor.
Yeah, I figured I would do that. I actually used a bit too much CO Bigelow this morning. It was way too thick. Tomorrow should do better. Tabac Tuesday.
SOTD January 15, 2018 Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Schick Proline B20 Razor: Schick G4 '66' injector Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic Soap: C.O. Bigelow cream Post: Iced witch hazel, Barbasol Pacific Rush aftershave WTG, touch up Another nice shave with the Proline blade and Schick 66. It's been a while since I've used the Bigelow cream and I was reminded of how well it works. Very nice overall. Have a great day!
A lot of that has to do with the twin blades. They just take a lot more rinsing. Throw in the cold water and wellllllll........
Used my OC Dammy on Sunday.... One of the best!!! Perhaps for tomorrow’s shave I will bring out the vintage Williams from Glastonbury, CT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, another shave tonight with the GEM. Better than last night. No irritation, and more muscle memory. I think it was a bit better lather as well. I may need to try out some different blades as my CVS blades don't seem to be quite as sharp. But I'm getting the hang of it, we will see how long this dfs lasts.
GEM blades by Personna are marked down online at Pharmapacks $3.47/pk 10-blades .. the more packs you buy the cheaper they are $10.10 for 3 packs of 10-blades Hope it's ok to post that here
I am not sure, i been using these in all my vintage SE's and they work really good. Maybe someone else can answer if they are coated ... i thought i read somewhere on one of the forums that they are PTFE coated SS even though package does not say
