Yeah that might be a good idea. It’s hard to sit on the other ones but god willing I’ll have plenty of time to move through the rest of them. Patience.
This was the same kit as my first SR shave. Back to the roots later today, h/t to all the guys who showed me the way. Have a great Monday! Ralf Aust 5/8 Full Round
Thanks Keith, The point and heel have been mellowed a bit, by the looks of it, I just followed the path set (but I dont like pointy razors much so I would of gone this way any how) Its a nice razor indeed, good weight, very pretty, How are you getting on with your SG20K?? have you had much time to play with it?
That’s a sweet blade, and looks to be in good shape. From pics, looks like it should clean up nicely. Pretty good buy, I would say
I hope so... I am still looking for that "special sauce" that you can just dip the blade in and it comes out shiny and new, with all etching intact of course. Guess I will just keep using sandpaper and Flitz until I find it .
Engstrom frameback. A smooth shaver. I do prefer the thin hollow and extra hollow grinds with their thin edges, but this one’s really nice for a change of pace.
I have been the G20 a workout, now I am comparing against a Shapton Glass 16k. So far they are very similar and both produce wonderful edges.
The customization he is doing is amazing. And the pictures of some of his latest grinding just seems otherworldly. Great razor!!!!
I am very tempted by his new bellied hollow grind. I keep entering razors in his configurator, I am sure I will pull the trigger in a moment of weakness.
It’s Monday... so the razor said it was her turn. Razor: Bartmann High Class (13/16 full hollow) Brush: Gillette Extra Large w/ 26mm Frank’s Shaving Finest Soap: Sudsy Soapery Lavender & Peppermint A/S: Fine Lavender Pour Homme Enjoy your shave! Tom.
Sometimes proof is required ... Two required some blade work and the scales are pretty flimsy, but I love the look of a Bartmann.
