I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with the JR #206 2-band Badger brush. I did two passes with the Schick H Razor with a Schick Twin blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The Hussy is delivering BBS shaves in just two passes. I got the Williams down just right and it rinses very easily. Awesome shave today.

Today's shave was with a Chinese razor. I had a super smooth 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. This is an "Extra Hollow Ground" blade, and made of very nice steel. The Chinese are kicking Butt with their newly produced blades. I've used this razor 5-6 times, and it's holding a very keen edge. When I got it, it was very sharp, from the factory, and needed a little stropping on the pasted linen and the leather strop, and it was truly "Shave Ready". Excellent Straight Razor, for around $28 delivered. But, this isn't for the "Newbies". That Spike Point is something to be respected and feared. It can be useful in reaching the hard to get to areas, under the nose though.

I opened a new tube of Proraso. It kinda came out a faster than I expected, so needless to say I made some really thick lather. It didn`t change the way the razor worked, same as normal, but I decided to do an extra pass on my neck, but thinner lather. Big mistake with this particular razor/blade combo. Not because it was thinner, but the extra pass really was irritating. This blade is set at 25 degrees, which cuts closer, but not more aggressive. That was at 7 this morning, and I still have a spot on my neck that is a little sore. I did get a great shave everywhere else, near BBS. Happy Camper here. God bless and great shave to all.

JR, did the twin fit ok in the HUSSY ???

 

I got it in there, but I had to finesse it with my Swiss Army knife. It was a tight fit and did not take to the stops right away. But, I got it to fit.

 

FANTASTIC shave with the new RazoRock Game Changer, the razor had no issues dealing with my problem areas, zero Irritation, and no feedback from the aftershave, I did notice that the GC is a lot louder than any other razor I own.

BLADE: twin (*compare to Gillette Good News Plus)
PREP: hot water shower with Nourish Cool Cucumber Green Tea Moisturizing Soap, followed by hot water rinse
PRE SHAVE: none
CREAM: Gillette Venus (with OLAY) Vanilla Cashmere shave gel
BRUSH: none- apply by hand
POST SHAVE: Hot water rinse
AFTER SHAVE: Clubman Vanilla
BALM: Maison THE COLLECTION Sparkling Champagne Lotion

Very nice, but fast 1+pass BBS on cheeks and chin- DFS on neck.
The Nourish Moisturizing Soap leaves my face clean and refreshed, but not dry.
The Gillette Venus (with Olay) provides excellent cushion, thickness, and protection.
I have perfected a technique with these multi-blade razors, where I use much more pressure than used with any DE razor.
It allows me to get a very efficient, smooth and close shave in 2 passes or less. No irritation.
Granted, these multi-blade cartridge shaves do not last as long as a DE shave for me. So I know they are not as close.
Yet, the result still feels baby butt smooth right after the finish. And so I get a good shave, but not much fun.

Brush: Vintage mixed badger/boar
Post: Hot water rinse followed by cold water rinse.
Aftershave: Witch hazel/Nivea face cream topped off with Stirling Executive Man ASB
