You can often find it at your local drug store or Walmart.

Corn huskers lotion is mostly glycerin. I’ve used it numerous times as an additive.

Back to the op: Can you bloom hair conditioner? What say you @swarden43 ? :scared003:

Some drug stores have it, some don't. I ordered mine, online. It's inexpensive, and a little goes a long long way.

Synthetic brush, mug and VdH Deluxe; shaves great, not expensive and doesn't leave your face with dandruff of diaper rash. I wouldn't put olive oil in my crankcase either.

I think the Deluxe is the best. Even better then the Luxury

Years ago when I wasn't very attentive to my shaving products I used just about anything that was handy...hand soap, hair conditioner, hand lotion, even shaving soap. They all work fine.

I picked some up today, been adding 5-8 drops to some of the aftershaves I feel like really dry my face out . Tried one before going out to dinner with my gf tonight and I could tell the difference. Thanks for the tip Steve! :happy088:

Okay - my first thought was "wait, you added 5-8 drops of conditioner to your aftershaves?" It's been a bit since the original reading of the thread, so my brain was keying on the title, rather than on the mention of glycerin.

There is nothing wrong with using whatever works, including hair conditioner. That being said, why use hair conditioner when Kiss My Face cream is both affordable and widely available, as is Van Der Hagen shaving soap? Both the KMF and VDH are excellent, and should do well with dry skin. If you are being frugal, Dove soap is a very cost effective solution. It is one of the few bath soaps that works well for shaving, and won't dry your skin out. The same applies to some of the store brand Dove clones.
