  1. Went ahead and did another shave tonight with the GEM!!!!
I think I am getting better in the technique, and the shave was a vast improvement.
I have ole fuzzy to thank for that @wchnu.
I will edit this post once the video finishes rendering on youtube, and if you have a moment, please feel free to add some constructive criticism to it.
I want to learn, and Dad always told me the best way to learn was to ask those that were more experienced.
    Thanks!

This is the link to the video, if anyone should want to watch.

    Tuff Red A/S Lotion

Have managed somehow in my enthusiasm to spread the word about the PAL, passed on my working Golden versions to fellow Shavers. This is the one with the Black handle/golden head. Never mind I do have a NOS one, and a few white handled ones.

I do not think I have ever used one of these before, always used a Golden or the De Luxe.Pleased to say it handles beautifully, and with the AC blade shaves very smoothly and efficiently. The Resultant Shave is first class, ultra close all round. Am afraid that the Type G1 which I mistook for a G8, is going to be eliminated from future rotations.

    Williams Mug Shave Soap
    JR#206 2-band Badger
    Schick H (the Hussy)
    Schick Twin
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Vegetal

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with the JR #206 2-band Badger brush. I did two passes with the Schick H Razor with a Schick Twin blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
  5. Good picture with a beautiful brush Jim.

  6. I actually thought of it and it does feel like the E2 and that E2 is my favorite injector! TONS of blade feel - especially with a vintage plus plat or a Personna 74

** I used the EverReady Streamline with a Feather SS blade - first pass i had a Feather SS that had 2 shaves on it and man it was ROUGH! One swipe and it was trashed - I than used same blade with 1 shave and it was OK. These blades are huge money and for me I get one AMAZING - Cadillac shave, the second shave is a Olds Cutlass shave and the 3rd shave was a AMC Gremlin.

    peace - jamie

    Prep: Cold water
    Blade: Personna
    Razor: Schick G4 '66' injector
    Brush: Surrey badger
Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Street Turkish Bath
Post: Witch hazel, TSD Iced Barber Shoppe aftershave
    WTG

Personna blade in the Schick 66 was a great combination. The last time I tried these Personnas was bad news. They didn't feel good and I wasn't impressed. Now I'm glad to have tried them again. They feel good. I could use Chicks, Personnas, or Prolines with good results.

    Enjoy your day!

  15. Yes - The Streamline takes a FEATHER SS Spineless with NO ISSUES what so ever! perfect fit.. But much like a VALET shave - the damn razor is good for 2 shaves than it is total sh*t and ready for the trash. But for a splurge birthday or holiday shave it sure is nice but it can bite u. Now The Streamline with a PAL Carbon is Smoooooooooooooth as silk and just great, but NOT as sharp and takes a little more clean up. This damn Streamline is so expensive - mine has monor scracths on the head and a little brassin on the handle & I paid like 85 bucks with no case (yeah i am nutz).. I see a mint one on ETSY with the Razor - the Stroping razor and the strop in the case - its gorgous for 175 - kinda wish i waited and i could have got that entire package - oh well - this will be my one and only streamline
