01/17/2018 - Last Night's Shave with a Ever-Ready "Stream Line" and Feather SS {spineless} blade on 2nd and FINAL shave (sadly learning these blades are good for 2 shaves and 2nd shave is not so great). PAA CaD, my top Barbershop/Barbersol scented product - really I could use this scent everyday, its like comfort food, The 30mm YAQI monster brush with the tuxedo knot is killing it - amazing value. For some reason I changed my setup this morning and instead of using the Williams Menthol cream I went with a nice Bulgarian one called Pascale. This cream has a very pleasant cologne-type scent and it has the typically rich, dense lather that Bulgarian creams are known for. There's also a mild cooling effect and a comfortable post-shave feeling. The Nip Man balm was very soothing as well as moisturizing and surprisingly enough, my wife complimented me on the Don Donato aftershave which is from Razorock. All in all I have no complaints about this shave because it turned out to be very smooth and enjoyable. We're going to see Dad today, so here's his planned shave: Two hot towels Omega 49 Ming Shi TTO/Derby day 3 De Vergulde Hand SS De Vergulde Hand AS Balm Dad LOVES the Ming Shi razor and he says the Derbys clean him up very well. He also loves the De Vergulde Hand soap (so do I!) and the balm! (I love it too!) Have a great day!
Off work today due to snow so a rare weekday morning shave. Did almost all of my face with the straight- left the goatee area - and completed 2 passes. Used the NEW to do those bits and touch up. 18 January 2018 Yet another great shave with the Polsilver happily ensconced in the slant. Eight shaves in and nary a whimper, tug or weeper. Just smooth, relentless whisker demolition. Gem Contour razor Gem Stainless blade Satin Tip "Purist" brush TSD Iced Lemon Grass SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe TSD 2X Mentholated Lemon Grass A/S Strange that the Contour II works better for me than the Contour but I reckon that's just the way things work sometimes. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Gillette “7 O’Clock Blue” Super Platinum in the Maggard V2 Open Comb. Excellent smooth, close shave.
