Pre: Warm water face wash Brush: C.R. Salter Travel PB Soap: De Vergulde Hand Razor: Gibbs No.17 Blade: Gillette Nacet Post: Warm then cold water rinse, BBA PSB I like this little brush, definitely my scritchiest brush but it's good to have a bit of scritch now and then, helps you appreciate the finer things in life. I finally got my hands on a Gibbs and I can't notice any discernable difference from the No.17 to the No.15 but the Nacet works better in it than the Astra SP imo.
Friday morning: Nivea Facial Wash Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra day 5 Vintage Barnangens Parba Shaving Stick Lubriderm Moisturizer YSL Pour Homme EdT I think this stick is about a hundred years old and it's from Sweden. A friend of mine sent it to me as a gift along with some other vintage sticks and I love it, but I rarely use it because there are no others in existence. The scent is so old-school and nice, it lathers great, and it's very skin-friendly. Instead of an aftershave I'll just go with the Lubriderm because it's a fantastic moisturizer.

SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: pre shave soap mix Razor: GEM G-bar Blade: Blue Star Brush: Maggard 26mm synthetic Soap: Storybook Soapworks Coffee Spoons Post: B&M Fougere Gothique, Peach Thayer's WH First time with the GEM G bar. It showed up in the mail today, over a week late I might add, but the post office must have found it and was glad to see it in the mail. Very nice design and finding the angle was not difficult. Thick lather from Coffee Spoons, just a small dab in the copper bowl whipped up plenty of lather. Finished off with Fougere Gothique. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!
Friday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Williams Mug Shave Soap JR#206 2-band Badger Schick H (the Hussy) Schick Twin CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Vegetal I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with the JR #206 2-band Badger brush. I did two passes with the Schick H Razor with a Schick Twin blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... This marks five days with the Hussy. It was a good run. Tomorrow is straights, and Sunday is Gem Jr. day. I will be sending the Hussy back to @wchnu next week along with his lather catcher handle. I hope to get that finished up as soon as the ferrules arrive.
January 18, 2018 Thursday Razor: Personna Floating Head Blade: Gillette Twistjector (2) Pre Shave Oil: Homemade Brush: VDH Badger Lather: Proraso Green AS: Aqua Velva/Afta Newspaper Date: Feb. 2,1944 I guess this morning`s shave was the best effort I`ve made to date! I don`t believe in perfection (for humans). YET..... it`s hard for me to argue with what my tools did this morning. I`m pleased as punch, as they say. A simple 2 pass, WTG/ATG with clean ups after each pass, a cold water rinse and voila! I don`t think the AS does no more than make you feel good, AS (after shave is completed). Really, I mean REALLY Happy Camper!! Wishing for as good for all and God Speed. Bill
