What are the "Silliest Trends" you have personally seen, or lived through?

So far, my vote is "Geo Catching". I don't get it. Grown men, and Women running around town, trying to find trinkets, in obscure areas, at all hours of the night. I've personally seen women, by themselves, at 2-3 am looking in deserted wooded parks, for some silly prize(beaded necklace). They are left by some unknown person, and most of the time I've seen them in remote places. Danger, danger, danger.
I've explained the dangers involved, to many young women, and men, doing this. The women act like they never thought about the dangers to them, and the male teenagers are always invincible.

That is a pretty crazy one for sure.
I still don't understand guys who wear their pants below their butts with their drawers showing.

And neckties. What's the point?

Geocaching

Shows you how much I know about it. You catch any lately?

That's a good one. I can't tell you how many "Dumb Butts" I've told to pull their pants up, especially when I'm out with my wife or daughters.

Pokemon GO. Seriously. Geocaching taken to the most ridiculous degree.

As a security guy I have ran more then my share of them off propertys. I am muchhhhh to lazy for that kinda thing.

Geocaching is not really new, though. It was actually pretty popular back when the only people (outside the military) who had GPS receivers were either boaters or serious outdoorsmen.

I second Pokémon go

I'm not sure it's a trend per se or not, but a few of the high schoolers at my gym have taken to wearing their socks (white, crew length) outside their track pants. It looks very silly.

I cured my sons of sagging pants. Ever heard of a "Wet Willy"? Moisten a finger and stick it in someone's ear? I introduced the "Wet Marvin" policy in my house. If I saw hiney cleavage someone was getting a wet finger between the cheeks, followed by me washing my hands. Apologies to anyone named Marvin.

We had to chase some of these fools off the outdoor archery range last summer.

Look around on the Internet about "dragging" in prison. Nuf said.

Ice bucket challenges

For that matter, most of those challenges. The news warned that kids were biting tide soap bubbles (plastic dispensing pods)
Some with very serous results.

I think I need to take my brain out for a nice professional dry cleaning now.

Hand spinners or spinners or whatever they call them

Seriously stupid that one .. Anyone else ever hear " I'm going to wash your mouth out with soap " when you were a kid?

You kidding? Most parents would consider even the threat of that as child abuse these days.* I, however, still remember the taste of Fell's Naptha soap. (I had to taste it only once.)
