  1. I am in Management Training all day. I LOATHE these things. Never sure if we are in for a group hug session, an ass chewing, or both.

Nothing like spending what should be a busy Friday suffering through two hour blocks of time , blathering about drivel that could be e mailed and absorbed in six minutes or less.

But at least I can look forward to a mediocre buffet lunch.

  8. First crack at the TSD Splash w/Bay Rum. I found it to be a little more "clovey" than I thought. Maybe I need to shake the bottle more prior to use. Maybe I should use less. It's been a real long time since I last used Stephan BR, so it's hard to compare the two, but sometimes you can immediately sense a difference. All this being said, I did read somewhere that a clove scent helps Bay Rum A.S. be what it is, so I must respect that. Also all this being said, I get the great quality that goes into JoAnne's aftershaves.

  16. That's interesting you say it is too clovey, as I don't think there is any clove in the TSD Bay Rum, just bay rum.

  17. Abyss scent from his website- "Abyss is a beautiful dark, creamy and woody rose. Two main notes dominate but they work incredible together; Black Roses & dark chocolate. Not sweet, cloying or sickly, but literally the smell of roses dipped in the finest dark chocolate. Also there is an almost tactile richness to this scent, a velvety smooth sweetness at the base imparted by the vanilla. The patchouli, oud, saffron, truffle and moss are blended into a thick dark haze through which the red rose note shines and shimmers." I'm looking forward to trying that one.
  18. Yes, that was my understanding from a post written by Joanne on the clove issue. That's what I was prepared for upon first use, and thus why I was a bit startled. But I'll; keep going with it. Maybe the "just Bay Rum"(as you say)will show up more with further use.
  19. My favorite one of these was some guy who had written a book called "Rebalance Your Tires" about making sure you had a work/life balance, despite that the company had no desire for you to have a work/life balance. At the end of an all day session driveling on about this, he turned on a boom box to Whitney Houston's "One Moment In Time" cranked it up and asked us to reflect upon the words of the song and how we could rebalance our lives to live "one moment in time". Then, convinced by how inspirational his exercise was he started the song again and repeated it two more times. Me and one other smartass in the department had to put our heads down on the conference table and pretend we were meditating because we were silently laughing so hard. (Kinda like when someone cracks a joke right before a prayer at church.) Pretty sure our heads bobbing up and down from holding in laughter gave it away. Needless to say, my tires did not get rebalanced that day.
