Thank you. It’s an F2. It was a freebie to me from a member on here. It was in very good user shape but I figured I love the shave it gives me so I should take care of the razor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It turned into Gillette adjustable Fridays!!. Wooo My late Friday shave turned into a Saturday morning before the dreaded dayshift shave. 1970 Black Beauty again because I wanted to add a video of a family razor to my collection. The shave was great. Even though I just set the razor on 9 and left it there. No twisting on the dial needed. I used a homemade chapstick shaving stick and the big ole Omega boar on the B-400. Dollar sto' Dorco blade was in play on shave 2 and Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum finished it up. Here is video if anyone wants to watch Fuzzy early morning shaving.
This is a screenshot from a Gillette commercial I saw running yesterday. Even though it is labeled as 1950, that appears to be a 1960 F4 Chrome Toggle. Interesting. Carry on. Full commercial: https://www.ispot.tv/ad/wRt2/gillette-proudly-making-quality-razor-blades-more-affordable
I like a Toggle, but the problem are the price, is very expensive. I like for shave not for collection. Enviado desde mi iPad utilizando Tapatalk
Have you considered writing a sternly worded E-mail suggesting Gillette get their Facts Straight? Considering the Wet Shave Revival there are informed individuals watching their propaganda commercials.
I think we should let @NCoxSTL handle it. He just finished running that F4 Chrome Toggle for a bit doing a review....plus, they may be more inclined to listen to Neal with his Russian connections. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
There is no one at Gillette that knows of their pre - cartridge razor history. They didn't keep any of the old vintage razors either. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
That's a shame if it's true. How can you know where you're going if you don't know where you've been?
Whenever Gillette needs an old Gillette blade, or razor for an ad campaign they have to go to someone like Razor Emporium to find one. Hollywood does it too when they are doing television show's, or movies. Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk

I played along again today!! This time with a slim on 9. The same Dorco blade from last week and a Boots shave stick. The Maggards tuxedo knot was awesome as was The Veg for a finish.
I got my Fat Boy shave in before the clock struck midnight. There was chatter about Dorco blades so I popped one in not really looking at the label. ST-300 Platinum treated me well on setting number nine considering I was experimenting with a non-shave soap. I tried a bar of Shea butter based African Black soap in the shower. Winter tends to leave my skin dry and using unrefined Shea butter as a post shave has worked well. Not such a good shave soap. Thin fluffy dissipating disappointing lather even when I rubbed the bar on my face. Still had a good shave and the new blade performed fine.
