1. The Sting- older film staring Robert Redford and Paul Newman. Excellent plot about a scheme to fix a fake horse race. It is fast paced that keeps your attention, and a well thought out film.[/QUOTE]

The music was fantastic in this film, Marvin Hamlish played the piano.

  6. I'll have to look for that one for my wife. Am I right in assuming it's kind of a parody of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly?
  7. Great topic.

    Burst City. (1982)
    Iron Man Tetsuo. (1992)
    Rubber's Lover. (1996)
    Beyond the Black Rainbow. (2010)

Don't watch these in one sitting. They'll melt your brain.

  8. didn't know there was a sequel. good call, though. if you liked this you might check out Attic Expeditions (2001).
  9. Anyone here enjoy watching the old Disney Sundy Movies, like Mr. Boogedy?

  10. Just read up on that one - I don't see it as being anywhere near the same kind of movie. To Cast A Deadly Spell was more comedy than horror - much like Magic, Inc. It looks like the Attic Expeditions is a psychological horror movie more than a comedy, and I'm not a horror movie fan.
  11. I don’t know. I don’t think I’ve seen all of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. I’m not much of a fan of Westerns. This movie is part Western but also an over the top action movie with a lot of comedy thrown in.

  12. Ah. I came to Cast a Deadly Spell through the connection with Lovecraft. Thought you might share similar interests. Attic Expeditions is an excellent Lovecraftian horror movie- so yeah, it's a horror movie.
  13. Yeah, not really a horror flick fan. I think life is horrible enough without glorifying it. Same way as I don't like plays like Death of a Salesman. If I wanted to pay to be depressed, I'd buy a ticket to go watch Congress.
  14. This movie was a riot!

  16. If you like Dark City, what you think of 13th Floor? Not a perfect film but one of my favourites. More thought provoking than Matrix.
