Hi gents. Today, for the first time ever, I decided to shave early in the morning. I got out of bed half an hour earlier than usual, got a shower and without rushing things I prep all the gear for a nice shave, just like I do it in the evening. I loaded the brush with some Tabac soap and started face lathering. I grabbed my TI and went for the first pass, rinse and second pass. I'm telling you, it was one of the best shaves I got. Didn't need to rush things, I had the time on my side so I achieve a great shave. I wonder if my skin is more "shaveable" in the morning than in the evening? Right now, I'm at work, relaxed after a great shave and I'll be faceturbating the entire day! I'll definitely repeat a early morning shave from now on.
Congrats on the great shave! I can't shave at night; I need to be clean shaven for work and my beard grows too fast overnight. I've found that since I have started on this "traditional" shaving journey that I'm more relaxed on my way into work and starting my day out. I've almost always been a wetshaver - just a canned goo and cartridge kind of guy trying to rush through it as fast as possible.
Congrats, Leon! I just go to work way too early for the morning shaves, so I usually shave in the late afternoon. Fortunately, my beard does not grow that quickly so I still look pretty clean when I go to work.
Knowing I get to shave in the morning is about the only thing that peacefully gets me out of bed in the morning, many times before the alarm goes off.
Way to go Leon. Glad you have accomplished that crusade for a great shave. For me shaving is sooooo much fun I could do it anytime of day. Try to do it in the morning but sometimes it is noon or a bit later. I work out of my home so I can usually arrange my schedule to suit. A lot of times it is mid morning when I shave. But no matter when I shave I do find it to be a great experience and almost always get a great shave. That is because I am never, absolutely never in a hurry to get things done.
As a military man (who works day shift) I don't have a choice. I always have to shave before putting on the uniform. Although, even if I had a choice, I think I would still prefer to shave in the morning. It's a great way to start the day and helps the shave last longer through my day.
I only shave in AM. I enjoy the BBS face all day and not worrying about waking up with any stubble. I am to start a job that I have to be up at 5AM so things might change up a bit.
