    Japanese Hamilton Swedish Steel 6/8th
    French Fitchard Pure Badger
    Valobra Tallow Soap
    Humphreys Witch Hazel

I Had a Super Duper Close Shave with My Swedish Steel Japanese Hamilton 6/8th Today..Man..What a Lazer Sharp & Ridiculously Smooth Razor..I Am Not a Fan of Japanese Steel or Some of the Later Swedish Steel on Japanese Razors..But I Like Japanese Razors with what I Call Traditional/Vintage Swedish Steel..My Judgement of Taste of Course..:)

    I Am Dolphin Smooth & Refreshed..:kar:

New to the den, a big Double Duck

A shout out to Adam, @Drygulch for parting with this razor and giving me an early shot at it. I have always admired the Double Ducks and curious to try one due to their reputation. I always past because I do not like small lite blades and most of the DD are 5/8 or smaller. This blade is 7/8 and is an unusual Duck. Very nice shave today.

In the picture it looks like the blade has a frown, it must have been the angle because the blade is perfectly straight.

    Razor: Double Duck 7/8
    Stop: Drygulch black latigo
    Brush: Omega silver tip
    Pre: Proraso
    Soap: Queen Charlotte Soaps cream
AS: Luck Tiger AS, Edwin Jagger ASB
    Scent: YSL Rive Gauche

Tonight's shave was with an American Made Razor. I had an extra lengthy prep, to get it ready. I then had a buttery smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS, on the first pass. The second pass left me BBS. Darn good razor. I like that shape, for some reason it just feels comfortable.

Razor- A.B.Shipley & Sons, Philadelphia. 1/2 Hollow grind.
    Brush- B400 By Tom
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
    Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy.

Thornhill and Company Sheffield Just did a quick refresh on this blade .Used a J-Nat .Just came in from France. This razor shaves and handles more like a French Frame back.

Here is the thread to show off your new Straight Razors. BTW, I have several French Razors, and are all great performers. EBay Fr is a good place to find well taken care of old Razors.

Another Wonderfully slick shave from a Chinese Razor. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a Near BBS shave. Some of these Chinese razors, are real contenders. Excellent steel, and good quality workmanship. Dirt cheap too.

Razor- Chinese "ZY Pro Extra Sharp"
    Brush- Omega Boar
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy

Did u have do any modifications? The geometry was good as shipped?

The geometry was, as you see it. They are pretty good, from the factory. They just need some love, on the hone, especially on the heel. @Billyfergie turned me onto these. He is a regular at honing the ZY, and hones a boatload, for beer money.
