Today's shave was with an Uber Sharp, Japanese Razor. I had a buttery smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. This razor bit me a couple of times. Small weepers. I think this thing might be too sharp. Any imperfections on the skin were taken off, without even feeling it. Razor- Japanese "Coral 1070", For Barbers Use. Brush- Omega Boar Soap- Arko/Sandalwood Scented Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman
Saturday Straights' Shave Proraso Pre Shave Derby Stick JR#217 Synthetic H. Böker 5/8 CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Pinaud Clubman I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Derby Stick Shave Soap face-lathered well with the JR #217 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the H. Böker 5/8 and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Yeah. That soap was made custom just for me at a time nearly 2 years ago when Mama Bear wasn't selling this scent. These days she has this scent in her shave soap. I pretty much have a lifetime supply of these soaps with 12 pucks remaining. So, I don't mind trading some pucks.
SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: pre shave soap mix Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic Blade: Gillette Black (2nd shave) Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft Soap: Van Yulay Peace, Love & Citrus Post: Stirling Glastonbury balm Had a swell shave this afternoon. Took a few to get the lather dialed in, but the scent was quite nice and got stronger once lathered. The Pachouli in the soap went great with the Stirling Glastonbury balm. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!
Great 2 pass BBS with light touchups! And to make it more special, my 12 year old son was headed to his first friend's funeral, so he wanted to lather up and shave with no blade! Sad circumstances, but very enjoyable nonetheless. He used my late Grandfather's Knack (his great-grandfather who he knew and loved and remembers well!) Finished him off with the Rose Thayers but skipped the Skin Bracer "slap." Strictly on time constraints, however.
