  3. Since somebody has to do the dirty work, I don't mind being the one to have to go to London every six months.
  4. No worries, Fuzzy. I’m pretty sure most of us have been thrown out of worse places than this.

On to shaving... I am not a fan of bay rum. I don’t like the bay leaf smell at all (many call it clove). Having said that, the Jeeves Bay Rum scent is really different and outstanding, and not too bay/clove-ish at all. I really enjoyed it this morning. Cudos to Adam @Drygulch for introducing me to this great soap!
  5. Happy Birthday, Jim!
  6. Great 3 pass BBS shave today. Decided since I was using the PAA Bakelite slant I would break out some PAA Gondolier soap and AS. Such a great scent.

  7. I am playing nice in here. Saving snarky for other threads. Wooooooo!
  8. Now that you've pretty much mastered all the razors...

    Slants?

  9. I agree on most Bay Rum. FW is about the place where clove needs to be. Too much and I feel like I smell like an Indian buffet.

  10. Love Indian buffets ! Don't wanna wear one.

  11. It's horrridddddable that you are being forced into that.

  12. I don’t know about all the razors haven’t touched a SR yet and just dabbled in SE. I thought this particular slant was giving me trouble because it had a lot of blade exposure. The angle is still pretty mild though and there’s almost no gap. I realized that I was using too much pressure because it’s such a light tool.

  13. That's good commentary about the weight versus gap. But look, by your own admission, you've mastered DE, I've watched. It's why I asked you.

    (I've never used a slant.)

  14. I know you'd do it for me. It's the least I can do for you guys. They did look at me like I was insane when I went through customs with 4 years worth of soap and AS in a backpack. On the bright side though, so much of it was mass market that, even with showing receipts, no tax was due anywhere.

  15. Thank you!
I like the slant would definitely pick up another though. It’s smooth like a mild razor but efficient like a more aggressive razor.

  16. Yes. I sent them a Fatboy, Slim and Black Beauty and they did an excellent job on all of them. There are some decent photos of them in the Fatboy Friday thread. I guess it's the Gillette Adjustable Friday thread now. Post #18.

  17. The voices in my head sounds like my wife’s. Oh... the voices are talking again. She’s not kidding now. Sorry guys. I can’t play right now.
  18. No tax is a good thing....

The voices in my head speak Greek. I have no idea what they are saying but they sound veddy happy!!
  19. Sounds like a great birthday shave and plan, Jim. Have a great b-day!
