    Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion

Todays Shave confirmed without doubt the ATT SE1 as my favourite AC/ SE , for me beats the Brass General
hands down so I will not fork out for the S/S version even if it is well priced.

I like my other AC/SEs but this one really can be used as a precision instrument to get a superbly close Shave
every time, even today with a blade on its 11th outing. Bear in mind that I cannot get a decent Shave from a Sabre L1 or the ATT SE G1 unless it is shimmed. I have in the past had 7 consecutive Shaves with it, and suffered no mishaps or irritation in that time.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Derby Stick Shave Soap face-lathered well with the JR #217 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1902 Lather Catcher Razor using an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Check it out all my friends, shavers, and fellow Denizens!!

Fuzzy (@wchnu ) gave me a beautiful Ever Ready Centenarian Razor.... @Jayaruh made an original ER LC size wooden handle and Tom ( @twhite) made the metal ferrule and supplied the original ER wooden handle as a model...

Look at the beauty that all these great friends with great intentions and talent have produced...

Razor: Ever Ready Army Kit 1914
    Blade: Gem Carbon (1)
    Brush: JR57 Maggards Synthetic
    Soap: vintage Colgate
    AS: VIBR
Cleaned and used my newest addition to my den. ER 1914 early with small Blade stops. It was also my first go with Vintage Colgate.

Let’s first talk about the Colgate. Using a synthetic I loaded the brush for about 20 seconds. No Fuzzy I DID NOT bloom the puck. Started in on building lather on my face. I only had to add a bit of water twice. I found this lather to be every bit as good and easy to lather as my Vintage Williams.

I do not try to get gobs of frothy lather. I instead try to get a nice slick soap scum consistency. Sounds gross but that is the best way to describe it. It almost looks like tooth paste spread on my mug.

Anyhow on to the shave. As usual the 1914 delivered a very smooth effortless DFS. Get the angle just right and this razor sings. I also find this one of the easiest razors to go ATG on the upper lip.

Have a safe and productive week.

I am happy with the Colgate. I will need to start hunting for that now. I will be heart broken when I run out of the vintage stuff.

Love the hunt. Way more satisfying than finding on eBay. You get to bicker with the buyer face to face. Nothing like getting an extra 2 bits off of something.

I have so far not found anything to bicker over. Soon maybe.

I'm wondering if anyone could identify what "type" of injector was packaged with this twin blade trial pack? Thank you. schick-injector-twin-blades-trial_1_ddf079103b45f1694817afb7fd6238ee.jpg

That would be an L1 if it is a blue handle it is an L4.

Check this link out. You can narrow it down.
