Not at all. But I did use a very light touch. It is not a heavy razor. I did find it to be highly efficient but it never felt like I was going to lose control. Not bitey at all. Then again, not my first run with an injector. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
Sounds great. I have an early model that opens to clean. You can try movingyour spring to the left and see if it opens. Don't force though. My E2 is a beast though. Requires a super light touch
This E type DOES NOT OPEN....Don't mess with it....but it's just as GREAT a shaver as the ones that do!
Yeah Sharptooth....!!! Thats the E type!!! Thats kinda the quintessential injector....the one that made Schick famous...although Octavius Rodrigues was responsible for much of that design...what a fabulous closed comb design...It's perfect!
I have another with the same patent # that says Eversharp Schick. This one just says Schick Injector. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
Yep, the Eversharp Schick would be after WWII...this one here is late '30's-early '40's, before Eversharp entered the picture...After Eversharp took over, the handles on the US made ones were made from plastic and were called 'G' types...This one has the Bakelite Butterscotch handle, and therefore is an E-type....And a lovely example of the breed, she is... Enjoy every minute...thats a fantastic shaver...she has won over the hearts and whiskers of more than a few generations of shavers...
Tue 30th Jan Omega 11137 boar MWF ATT SE G1 + 1/2 Spine shim reduced Gem coated [ 1 ] Alum rub/Rinse off Pitralon Classic A/S lotion Must be my beard, but I find the ATT too mild to give me a decent Shave. For me Shimming the blade transforms the Razor, quite aggressive but the closeness of Shave attained is really good, up there with Shaves from Vintage SEs.
An E should have one patent number and say "Schick Injector". A G should have two patent numbers and should say "Eversharp Schick", though some early ones used leftover "Schick Injector" springs.

These blades are terrific, as are the Personnas and regular Chicks. I enjoy having three good blade options for all my injectors. Have a great day!
Tabac Tuesday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Tabac JR#257 Synthetic Micromatic Clog Pruf Personna Gem CS Personna Pal CS CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Florida Water Today is day two of the blade test. Up for the first pass will be the Pal CS blade followed by the GEM CS blade for the second pass. I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Ingram Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the JR #257 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Micromatic Clog Pruf Razor using a Personna Gem and Pal CS SE blades and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Florida Water AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... Both blades performed very well today. I got a very close shave with no issues. Audible feedback was there with both blades.
Perry, that is an absolutely, magnificently, stunning photo! Props to you! That one is calendar worthy and worth framing, I can't stop looking at it!
01/29/2018 - SOTN SCHICK TYPE L with the 4th shave - 1974 Schick Plus Platinum. BBS all the way - the AOS PRE OIL is magic for my skin... peace - JAMIE B.
Ive got a couple of magazines of these from an auction lot and am curious about trying them. I ejected a couple of blades and they were gummed up from the oil that was on them but no rust. Anyone ever try them ? I know since there are no holes in the blade that they cant be used in a hydro-magic razor. Anyone know if these are stainless or CS blades ?
I have never had any exactlylike that. I have always thought the vintage injector blades I have tried were CS. Worth a try but I have never hiton a good blade.
My guess CS as when Blade makers switched to Stainless they really hyped it. So the made sure to advertise on packaging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Boy was I missing out. Anyways, this will be a combo I will for sure use in the future. Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
