Some Japanese steel today, Suzuki Niles 6/8. The grind is between 1/2 and 1/4 hollow. This razor always seems to take a wonderful edge.
Newly acquired Thiers Issard Bison 6/8. Fresh off the hones and unbelievably sharp, in somewhat of a bad way. A little on the harsh side but an unbelievably close shave. I’m sure it’ll smooth out after a few shaves,
Early morning shave using this lefty Kanenaga kamisori, Soap Commander's excellent 'Honor' soap and matching aftershave balm with menthol, and a custom boar brush...all with plenty of Peet's coffee. Slow & steady. Have a blessed Friday, gents!
Tonight's shave was with a French Rattler(Faux Frameback). I had a great 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. No issues. I tried the Cremo for the first time, thatnks to The Cakalacky Kid(@Jayaruh ). As he told me, the Cremo doesnt really lather, and what lather it does produce dissipates quickly. It is slick, but not slick enough. It does provide a post shave slickness though. I was able to do 1/2 of my first pass, before applying the ARKO, for added slickness and lather. Razor- French Faux Frameback. Leon Pelleray. Brush- Omega Boar Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy Creme- Cremo Aftershave- Family Dollar "Spice"

Saturday Straights' Shave Proraso Pre Shave Ingram Oscar11 Synthetic Rocket 5/8 CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Florida Water I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Ingram Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Oscar11 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Rocket 5/8 Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Florida Water AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Second shave with the TI. Much better this time around. I typically use a little pressure when going atg , to insure that the blade gets under the whiskers. I think this blade is ground so thin that using any pressure will cause some irritation. Today, I added no pressure to the atg passes, which left me bbs and feeling great.
