Don't make me drive up there with a garden sprayer of Pinaud. I am already admittedly nuts, how would a Provincial Pinaud Pep Rally sound? Uh-huh.
1week in on my 30 day rule and all is well. Getting some good 2 pass shaves in with the same gear as in my avatar....look left , and I do believe I'm developing a good technique so far . Irritation is now gone and my face is loving the new attention it's getting. Hope all is well for the rest of you fellow shavers and thanks to everyone for their help and encouragement .
You just think it's good now.... And you're right. But, you'll be amazed in three months how much better your complexion and skin tone will be. Nothing exfoliates more perfectly than a deftly wielded razor bevel. Welcome to the fun part. RAD is cooler when you can actually appreciate the razors!
What happens after july 5th may be another great story for the family album lol. I'm staring down that popsicle left in the freezer from last summer . It's time is coming.
If you haven't entered my PIF (link above) please do. It's changed up and is new shaver friendly. Or as friendly as it can be.
Not the newbie... The PIF that separates the Boy Scouts from the Ninjas.... Only rule is CONUS, but I'd bend that for a UK Or Canada 30DC usual suspect.
Sorry, my mistake. I just found the link . I tried karate before so I'd be game for this too . You only live once they say ..
I came into the world in March, so what better way to celebrate than with an extremely sharp piece of steel gliding over my neck .
You're doing it now, as you're probably riding the cap. It's tedious, but it's not hard to learn. The design of the Luxor just won't allow deep bevel penetration or corner/spike slashes. You'll start just like we all did. You do the flat parts of the face and clean up with a DE. You keep adding area as you learn the grips, and before you realize it, you look clean shaven the old fashioned way without touching the DE. Takes about a month. One more month April and you'll be competent at two pass. Do it ninety days in a row, you'll literally be able to shave with anything that's sharp enough. Those around you using Straights and shavettes will verify the number of days.
I was afraid of the DE at first and now I wish I had used one all my life . If you give a tool like that the respect it deserves, it will become your best friend.
If I don't win it I may hunt one down and play anyway. I know a few barbers in town that may be of help .
