  1. I wonder if @clint64 could kill a 4oz container of soap if he used it exclusively for 30 days:signs002:
  2. That'd be a brain-teaser for me...if I was forced to use JUST ONE SOAP for an entire month, which would it be? But I'm not worrying about being forced. :D
  3. I took on the 30 day rule . Mostly just cause I'm stubborn or won't give in or give up .
  4. I bet so! He can plow through some soap.
  5. Actually, that's a"rule" I just thought of...no matter which soap I happen to have out, when the WSP Pure Badger brush comes around, use the WSP Sandalwood in place.
  6. I asked around and everyone said use the proraso...so I did .
  7. Good rule
  8. Can't go wrong with Proraso. Inexpensive and good quality. I've used all three colors at various points.
  9. My "Shave Combo Of The Month" would probably be Stirling Barbershop shave&Clubman Original A.S.
  10. Can't find the red here anywhere. All we got is Nivea, proraso green or white , Wilkinson and don't forget the Williams .
  11. I may even start my puck of Williams for the month of March , should pair nicely with my new shavette. Would you call that a rule x2 ?
  12. Italian Barber has the red on sale for $5.99 right now.
  13. I bet I could come close on a soft artisan soap with the right brush. :D I started DE shaving at Labor Day 2014 and finished a tub of TOBS Sandalwood and Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood before the end of that year without any soap destroying brushes. ;)
  14. It’s the second, and we are 14 pages in already? I didn’t get my last shave posted before we closed the January thread, so I did it again to start February. Managed to six off the Van Yulay, which was three samples combined to give six oz of soap. Going to try and catch up on the thread now.

  15. Good thing I finished a soap off today, because I ordered this yesterday. Stupid limited release Soaps with awesome scent profiles.

  16. We seem to have the same focusless focus. FWIW, I wouldn't buy ice cream from someone skinny. Just saying...
  17. I had to think about this for a minute. I do have to lock some stuff up from my kids. Honestly, who wouldn't want a shave den like what Gomez could build?
  18. Fatboy Friday aka Gillette Adjustable Friday 2.2.2018
Head (6 days growth) & Face (24 hours growth) Shave
Pre-shave: hot shower & Nivea Men Sensitive Face Wash
    Brush: Barburys synthetic
    Cream: Reuzel Shave Cream
Razor: Gillette Fatboy E-4 (setting 9)
Blade: Feather (must be around 10 shaves)
Post-shave: Assured WH (from Dollar Tree), Nivea Men Sensitive PS Balm, Proraso Sandalwood AS

Since it's Friday I took the opportunity to pull out the Fatboy and take it for a "drive." I shaved the head first, maximizing the blade gap at #9. I'm impressed with this Feather blade. It continues to perform without any evidence it wants to surrender its sharpness.

I managed a single pass on the scalp followed up with some clean-up. Then two passes on my face and I was finished. I took great care with my neck today since I lost my rational sense briefly yesterday and tried to corral the baby with the MMOC. The neck was still a bit red from yesterday.

The Reuzel Shave Cream was a Christmas gift from my Bride. The scent is identical (to me) to Proraso red so the post-shave AS was logical.

    Enjoy your weekend everyone!

  19. Beautiful picture, Dan!
  20. What would Gomez consider too aggressive? Battle axe?
