  1. Beautiful. Brush and blade.
  2. That is a great looking scuttle.
  3. Your soap collection sure seems to be growing. Have we discovered an actual AD here? It isn’t the amount of soaps maybe, but the rate of acquisition?
  4. Great pic, Jason.
  5. Looks like a cozy winter weekend shave.
  6. Why thank ya....thank ya veddy much!!
  7. February 4

    Parker SRX shavette
    Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    Simpson Chubby 2 Super
    Castle Forbes Lavender shaving cream
Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter and Fine Platinum aftershave

This was my first shave with the Parker SRX, and it went better than expected. I completed two full passes with it on three days of growth. The first pass was WTG, and the second pass was ATG. The balance and feel of the razor was perfect, and I had no problems using it with either hand. Other than a couple of small weepers and a small "landing" error on my upper lip, it was a better first shave than I expected. All the boo boos sealed up on the cold water rinse. BBS on the cheeks and DFS everywhere else. In my 10X mirror, I could see a couple of places I missed around my mouth and chin. I'll work on my touch ups as I get more experience with the Parker.

The shave was comfortable, and the alum was quiet. All in all, a pretty good first shave with the Parker SRX. I'm sporting a couple of finger tip band-aids that will serve to remind me not to be overconfident tomorrow. :)

    Have a great Sunday!
  8. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste." 1980s era slogan of the United Negro College Fund. I expect the UNCF foundation is still in existence but I wouldn't be surprised if Political Correctness has long since forced it to rename itself...
  9. Sounds like a great first shave, Charlie!
  10. Thank you, Jared!
  11. Terrific picture, Keith!
I always like it when the pink one makes its appearance! Nice set up!
    Beautiful picture, Jason!
That is just an all around great set up, Neal!
    Beautiful scuttle, Fuzzy!
  12. Thanks!
  13. Great lineup and photo Jared. I saw the Tweet from Simpson about the new Simfix brush. Looking forward to your review after some more use.

  14. It looks like they are still there (uncf.org) and have the same slogan. At most, I'd say they downplay the full name in favor of the initials.

  15. Woah! You mean I enabled you without even trying to/meaning to? Sweet!!! :D

Congrats on the new brush Jared! I'm sure it'll break in and earn its keep in your collection. Nice lookin' straight as well!

  19. FYI, I Think it was Eddie Murphy who changed it to “A mind is a terrible thing”. I think it was on the Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood skit on Saturday Night Live

    Timeless Bronze OC 78
    Stirling Stuff
    Personna Red

Personna Red in the OC will be a no-go for me. That blade tugs and leaves sweepers. In fact, I'm still searching for a razor these will work in. Likely, that razor will be one of yours.

    Happy Sunday.[IMG]
