  1. Got both added to my list.
  2. Woke up this morning with the dreaded man cold. My whole family has had the plague for the last few weeks. This is the third round, and its kicking my butt. won't be shaving today, but will work on four day's growth tomorrow. On the plus side, I'm sitting at home and my Barrister & Mann Sinfoina soap and splash just showed up. Looking forward to using that one.
  3. Sorry to hear you're sick, Adam. Hope you improve quickly!

  4. Hope you start feeling better quickly. The stuff is flying around something fierce this year. Seems like just about everyone is getting sick this season.
  5. Very nice Jason!!! :)
  6. Hope you feel better soon.
  7. Nice setup Neal! Interesting report on the different SE blades.
Neat and tidy is the way to go, John! Beautiful Lather Catcher!
    Fantastic photo, Jim!
Great photo, Clint! Is the tranquility next on the chopping block?
Nice shot, Perry! The "Paul Revere" had the be the coolest of specialty handled injector!
    Awesome setup, Mark!
love the copper and brass look of a well used New! Great shot, Jason!
I hope you get to feeling better soon, Adam!
  8. Thanks, Andrew! It's certainly a unique razor and I'm glad to have one. Shaves great!
  9. Thank you Andrew. Tranquility is safe for now. ;) Rossa, Fine Platinum, CO Bigelow Cream and Jeeves Bay Rum are all on the downhill side. I could knock of Rossa quickly if I used it every day since it only has 1/2 to 3/4 of an oz remaining.
  10. Excellent picture, Mark!

    Schick Injector, Type D
    Personna (2)
    Yaqi Professional (30mm, Cruiser Class)
    Stirling "Mountain Man"
Baxter of California Shave Tonic and ASB

This morning I continued my assault on the Mountain Man sample, this time with the big 30mm Yaqi B&W synthetic. The Yaqi did its job and left me with only one more shaves worth of soap in my Mountain Man sample. The Type D with the Personna blade was smooooooth. I did two passes for a very comfortable DFS and finished off with some Baxter of California Shave Tonic and ASB for Menthol Monday. Have a great day my friends!

  12. Monday's Perry Inspired Shave

Perry @PLAla inspired my shave this morning by trotting out his Schick Revere injector. I realized that it's been awhile since mine had been used. I also used the C.O. Bigelow shaving cream, since it's Menthol Monday (and because it's good stuff). I would've matched him with the Stirling Kong brush that Jared @PickledNorthern had sent to me, but I received a new Thater on Saturday, and well...I just wanted to use it!

Every time I manage to break out the Revere, I'm reminded of how stupid easy it is to get a great shave with it. Almost zero thinking necessary with that razor, which is perfect for a Monday morning.

Jared was quite instrumental in helping me pick out a couple of brushes, the Thater 4125/1 & a Simpson Duke 3. He spent a bunch of time with me talking brushes, and gave me an incredible amount of info. He certainly put me on the right path with his recommendations. Unfortunately, the Duke that was sent was the wrong one, so I'll need to wait for the correct one to arrive before I get to experience that one. However, the Thater is a truly wonderful brush! I look forward to many years of lathering pleasure with it.

Thank you Perry for getting me to pull out the Revere. And, thank you Jared for all your help in selecting some brushes! :)

    Have a great Monday everyone!!!

  14. That's great, Bruce! Glad I influenced someone in a positive way. ;) You are right about the Revere - stupid easy to use and will shave great.
  15. Great looking photo Andrew. The Type D is one very cool looking razor.
  16. Those are some fine products to be inspired to use, Bruce!
    Thank you!
    Thank you, Clint!
  17. Hope you feel better soon, Adam. Is the Sinfoina one of B+M's seasonal specials or a regular part of their lineup?
  18. Thanks, Andrew. As I have gotten older my haircuts have gotten progressively shorter and my facial hair equally reduced, from full beard and mustache set to mustache to nothing.
  19. Excellent photos, lineups and reports today, gentlemen! The week is off to a flying start...
  20. Great collection of vintage SEs, Gentlemen! Fuzzy, you must be proud...
