  1. Terrific picture, Mark!
  2. Thank you, Jim!
  3. Thanks, Clint. I like what Delta Echo did with my Gillettes.

I am not so stuck on this Semogogue brush. The cherrywood handle is beautiful but the knot seems to splay too much while picking up little soap and not having much backbone. I thought boar brushes were supposed to be stiff; this one isn't. I am wondering how easy it would be to pop the knot without hurting the handle. I have a spare Tuxedo knot...

Day 5 of the NEW and switched in a Polsilver. Face-lathered a great Reserve lather. This soap takes more water than any other soap I have, I think. Not wearing a tie today, so took the opportunity to just go with a 2 pass shave, with a bit of jawline and neck touch up. I’d say this is in DFS range. Love the scent of the Cool and am off for an early drive.
    Have a great day all!
  5. Sounds like a great shave with the Parker, Charlie! When are you getting some more scrapbooking supplies?

  8. Thanks for the kind words Jim! Enjoy your day.
  9. Thank you, John! Have a great day!
  10. Thanks, Clint! I hope you enjoy your day!
  11. Thank you John. I am trying experiment with the depth of field. I am still a novice so I still let the camera do most all of the work.
  12. Nice one Jim! :happy096:
  13. Great B+W photo, Perry!

Beautiful photo, Mark. I see some people still have visible grass without inches of white stuff covering it...

Another great photo, Jason! Are the results from the Reserve worth the extra effort needed to get the lather slick enough?

  14. Thanks, Jim, for calling me out. I hope to get back to my photos soon. I just need to make a trip to Walmart for those scrap booking supplies. I walked though Lowe's Home Center the other day looking for photo background inspiration, but nothing really jumped out.

The Parker SRX has really surprised me. It is a quite a bit easier to use that my Feather AC SS. I had put off trying one for that reason, but I'm glad I finally jumped in. It's still a little fiddly swapping the blades, but I'm sure it will get better with practice.

  15. Long soak in water with a bit of glycerin. It really helped with my VdH boar.
  16. Another great picture of fantastic gear. I gotta try one of those brushes. I just can seem to shake the RAD long enough to pursue it.

  17. The antique feel of the photo is fantastic.

There was absolutely no way I was reloading the Personna Red. Irritation is never the goal, the red left me...well, red! So I decided to throw in a Feather. Once feared, the Feather is becoming a den favorite in any razor. The Bronze has ample blade feel. It is unmistakably there. Good for me. I just wish Feather would get rid of the adhesive they package the blade with. It is a matter of time before I lay open a finger trying to undress one. The residual goop also sticks the blade to the baseplate, more opportunity for ouchies breaking down gear. Especially when eyes don't focus 100 during the task. So, rather than fight it, I actually left the blade in a wet razor and placed it in the base to dry. The horror!

  19. Here at Survey Central, Vintage DE is into what appears to be a comfortable lead. Modern DE may present a challenge as the month progresses, but the latter trails by 19%. With 3 weeks remaining, it's too early to project a winner.
  20. Sounds like a great shave Charlie. Given all your experience with the pain stick, I am not surprised the shavette worked so easily.

    Great B&W photo Perry.

    Love the shiny stuff amigo.

    Great photo and lineup Jason.
