  2. Vintage Sheffield-made 6/8" soft French-point 'Celebrated IXL Razor' from George Wostenholm & Son (mid-1800s), Crowne & Crane's 'Cognac & Cubans' soap with matching aftershave balm, Omega #627 'super' badger brush.
One of my favorite Wosty's. Love the rare blade shape. I've owned 'a bunch' of Wostenholms but this was the first with this blade style/tip.

  6. Started learning on a 1/4 hollow. Moving to a couple hollow razors and man the audible feedback is something else. Not sure what I favor yet but you certainly know when when you have the angle with the bigger hollows. [IMG]

  8. A rare shave today. I normally only shave every other day and sometimes every third day. Tonight was a special dinner with my wife for her birthday so the whiskers came off after just a day. I picked up my 1970s Russian for the job. Easy peasey. Two passes and done. Oh, and a special shout out for that Savile Row brush. I have some very, very nice brushes but this one has really been standing out and today was no exception. :happy036:

  9. Had to go quick. The Yamada with the half hollow was the right choice. This one has a heavy blade and scalpel sharp edge. No finessing or short strokes needed. This thing is a bull dozer. And leaves a bbs finish every time. I love my Japanese steel:)

  10. Today's shave was with a freshly honed Wilkinson Sword, A. Dunhill Edition(Pall Mall). Fantastically smooth razor, that requires little effort to shave. It's just a bear to prep up for the shave. I had a 3 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero Issues. Excellent razor, that is built like a tank, yet very nimble, and smooth. This razor will be saved for special occasions.

Razor- Wilkinson Sword, Alfred Dunhill of London. Fifth Ave New York. 7 day set.
    Brush- Stirling Boar
Soap- Vintage "Yardley" of London, Lavender.
    Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice.
