  1. Hmmmm.... the blade on a popsicle stick looks less scary to me now. Thanks, Keith! ;)
  2. Lol. I don't know about master of anything. Love it though.

That's the monkey. There are a lot of easier SE razors. If you want to try one hollar at da Fuzzy one!
  3. So just read a statement that DE's do not take much skill really. That thought explains a lot.

  4. What would you suggest with training wheels?

  5. Awesome! Welcome! You will be amazed at your progress over the next month. Everyone is here to help and cheer you on. Keep us posted and ask away if you have any questions.

And no worries -- @NCoxSTL's bark is worse than his bite.

  8. I know...I went to see the Rev this weekend. He's a Setzer-level talent on a hollow body, a little more surf rock though. Gretsch makes a signature Jim Heath model. "The Reverend Horton Heat" is a band, Jim Heath is the leader. Here's some guitar porn:

  10. That's a great question, Neal. The folding Feather AC may indeed be easier to use. I like the SRX so much that I'm considering PIFing my pain stick and a pack of Feather blades. I may try to cook up something where folks can make a donation to the forum to get in on the PIF.
  11. No need for training wheels. You have used the OCMM. I would say a 1912 style. I have a few I could loan out.
  12. That would not be a pif. If you do pif it I will get in. I have only used Straights and shavettes.

  13. True. Not really a PIF. Thanks for setting me straight - it takes a village! :happy088:

  16. "Tough guy" is a better image than "incompetent with open blades." It's all about presentation.
  17. It's about how you explain it. It's pretty cool if you can get trekking through the jungle in the story.

  18. They don't take a ton of skill, but poor technique will result in a bad shave experience. Hence DE RAD, people don't believe the 3 Ts .....

  19. Maybe I should trade technique for skill in my rants then. Good thought thanks.
