  1. It's hard to make out with a girl when your collar keeps poking her in the eye.

  3. That's my usual reaction to Williams. OK I KNOW - CHEAP SHOT!
  4. Favorite February

    February 7

    Razor - Gem MMOC
Blade - [IMG] ASR Carbon - CVS (4)
    Soap - Stirling Electric Sheep
Brush - Stirling Pro Style Synthetic
    Post - Alum

Fourth shave on the blade and it's performing like a champ. It's showing some discoloration now but still no rust that I can detect. And nothing on the edge. I am removing it from the razor and drying it every night so I'm sure that's helping. My impressions of the blade - very smooth, more than some would expect a carbon to be. Sharp enough to get the job done well and easily but not so sharp that it wants to bite like the stainless.

Electric Sheep for the soap. Lemon, Citronella and Eucalyptus mixed together for a very unusual scent with the mutton tallow base. Slick as any soap I've used and it might do better as a morning soap since the scent will wake you up. I figure using it will help me when I do my week with Williams. Already used to that scent profile.

Two passes and a bit of touch up for the very nice DFS with mostly quiet alum. Success!

  6. I have been using skill when I meant technique. It migjt not take a lot of skill...it does require technique to get it right.

Up and moving early this morning for an appointment with the Gastroenterologist. As expected the Bigelow cream provided a foolproof lather and the Genesis knocked out a 3 pass near perfect shave. A splash of Fine L'Orange Noir and I am ready to fight the heavy morning commute. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

    February 8 SOTD:

    Razor: Schick Injector Type J
    Blade: Personna Twinjector
    Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
    Lather: Stirling Port-au-Prince
    Aftershave: Fine Fresh Vetiver
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

Two passes and BBS. I don't know what else I can say. The soap is on its last legs, going quicker than I thought. I probably have two shaves left in it. The AS does match it really well. I hope everyone has a great day!
  18. Thank you Jim.
