Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Personna
    Razor: Schick L1 injector
    Brush: Zenith B02 boar
    Lather: Wholly Kaw Jamestown Gentleman
Post: Witch hazel, Pitralon Classic aftershave
    WTG, touch up

@Linuxguile wondered if the Personna injector was as mild as a Schick L. Wasn't sure and went with the L1 today to do a little comparison. I would vote that the Personna is still the milder of these two. The L is certainly mild but the Personna is more mild. Fun little comparison. Good shave in the end. I'm working on this sample of Jamestown Gentleman and hope to finish it up next week.

    Have a great day!

Terrific photo, Jim! I'll be using my J1 soon as well. Great razor! Also congrats on getting to the end of a Stirling soap - quite an accomplishment.

Thanks, Clint. I enjoy the Pitralon. It has a fresh cedar scent as the main profile. Probably some pine as well (given the logo). Good skin care elements and a nice little menthol buzz. I would recommend it as a nice, clean, and straightforward scent.

A couple of days ago my shave fairy dropped off a new Wolfman. As most of you know, I spent a couple of years chasing 1958 Gillette adjustable razors, showing no interest at all in modern 3-piece razors. I've read about Wolfman razors but it just went in one eye and out the other. Throw on top of it a wait list and the price, and I had zero interest in having one. I assumed I'd never have the opportunity to buy direct and eliminate the exorbitant secondary market pricing, which I refused to pay. I happened to have a conversation with a friend on another forum who told me how he had been trying to secure a Wolfman, even providing examples of his friends who were able to order with the same technique. Less than 48 hours later, my order was placed. I know that guys have tried, unsuccessfully, for much, much longer. I musta got super lucky.

I have a couple of high end razors. Some I have considerable sums in. I thought I had a grasp on quality workmanship. I have to say, until you hold a Wolfman, you don't get it. This thing literally glows. It is brighter and shinier than my white Rhodium Fatboy. James put a near perfect mirror finish on this thing. When I got my Blackbird, I was taken aback at how well Shane polished his razor. It will be interesting to do some side-by-side comparisons when the BB gets back home.

The razor is super smooth. I did a 2 pass shave with XTG cleanup on my neck, which I generally skip because it frickin hurts. With any razor, it is terribly irritating. Honestly, I don't really care about BBS on my neck. The Wolfman did better than any here. No irritation but still not BBS. No worries though. My face is super smooth although I'm not sure it is equal to the BB. Lots of blade feel with the Wolfman too, which I like. It was a great first shave. I'm looking forward to getting to know it and comparing it to the BB. These 2 razors are so close for me, best I recall, it will be interesting to see which I will like better.

The Wolfman lives up to the hype. It's mind boggling that 1 single man has the skill to craft such a tool.

PS. Pardon the dust on the razor. I tried. I'll get some better shots.

Congrats on getting the Wolfman. You really have to see his workmanship in person to fully appreciate the finish on the razor

Day 7 with the NEW, 3rd with a Polsilver. Whipped up a nicely scented lather, and had an easy 2 pass shave. I’ve experimented a bit this week with 2 pass shaves on days I wasn’t wearing a tie. I’m in the DFS/DFS- range, which I think is acceptable for a 2 pass’er. Finished with the fantastic CL and all is good. Favourites month is going exactly as it should.
    Have a great day all!
