I used to shoot grouse plucking at wild plums from inside the front door. My wife used to get SO pissed, but she ate on every last one of them.
In Alabama, I shot a doe while seated in a lawn chair on a backyard deck at a friend's farm. He kept a rifle near both doors.
Friday February 9 - Fat Friday Delta Echoed Gillette Fatboy on 4 / vintage Gillette Platinum Plus (? ) Semogue Owners Club cherrywood boar brush Kent / MWF in beechwood tub Alum and Lucky Tiger I dampened rather than soaked the boar brush then gradually trickled water onto the puck as I loaded from it. I then face lathered the result and got two good slick passes out of it. The photo shows the brush after I was finished shaving. It maintained better backbone today than it does when I soak it. Maybe that's the key to this Semogue boar ... Or maybe I just need to replace the knot with a Tuxedo... Anyway it was a good shave to lead the way into the weekend.
I remember a time when I honestly, for the very life of me, could not see the appeal in owning more than one brush. ROTFL!
