The Old Spice Musk Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the JR #258 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Lee Mfg. 5/8 Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I wanted to try my favorite razor after a refresh on the yellow/green Thuri vs. a refresh on my white Arkie. So, one side of the face with one, then took it back a hair, refreshed again, and shaved the other side. A little smoother with the Arkie is the verdict. Of course, this being a sample size of one and all I wouldn’t put too much stock in that. However, it does show me the Arkie can deliver a fine finish to the edge of my prized Russian. 7/8 Wacker Stirling Bay Rum homemade brush with a Shavemac DO-1 silver tip flat top Excellent shave this morning. I really like Stirling's Bay Rum. I like what I call the old fashion Bay Rums heavy scented with clove etc. Think VIBR. Now Stirling isn't that heavy but it's good stuff, IMO. The brush worked out well. Face lathered as usual and it performed great straight off the soap. Have a good one.
