So, Fuzzy...how did you like using a decent soap? :scared003:

Great setup today! Both the razor and brush look great!

You always post fantastic shots. I went to a photography seminar years ago and one of the presenters made the comment "The only difference between an amateur and a professional is the size of the trash can.". Of course, that's back in the film days, but the same logic still applies. The photographers for National Geographic sometimes shoot over one thousand photos for an article consisting of about 10 published photos. Think about having to be the editor picking out the photos for the article, weeding through hundreds and hundreds of images. Not a job that I'd want.

I will treat that comment with the disdain it deserves.

The Tabac is nice. A gift from a shave buddy across the street. It's like a trike...anyone can use it. The el chepo horse brush is really doing good. Lost a few hairs to start but has settled in now. Almost defunked and lathers great.

That SA is a family razor actually. Have been using it off and on since I was 13ish.

Excellent shave setup and photo Jared! I also enjoyed The Sheep today (alas, no AS). I really dig that brush! :happy088:

You know, if we didn't like you, we wouldn't pick on you!

Yeah, maybe anyone can use Tabac, but not everyone wants to smell like Grandma's purse (as it's often described). Myself, I like it. Not sure what that says about me, but oh well...

That's awesome you have a razor with some family history. I'm sure some of my Gillettes have history, but I have no idea what it is - and they ain't talkin'. I truly wish my grandfather's Gillette were still around. I'm not much of a sentimental kinda guy, however I do wish I had it.

Some people are just not classy enough for the scent.

I actually have my Grandfather's 1957 Super speed. I also have Grandad's brush. So something from both sides of the family.

You told me that The Sheep enjoys Spousal Approval at your house. In that case, the AS is a must. It smells exactly like the soap, is a powerhouse for a short time, and then mellows to a very mild but long lasting ghost of its former self. It is a thing of beauty. And doubles as bug dope in the warmer months.

Thank you for the kind words about the brush. It is a face lathering powerhouse.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Razor: GEM Pushbutton
    Brush: JR #60 synthetic
    Lather: Wholly Kaw Jamestown Gentleman
    Post: Witch hazel, Speick aftershave
    WTG

Been a while since using the Pushbutton. Nice and easy shave and just did one pass. Was in a little bit of a hurry because we were trying to go out to lunch and beat all the rain moving in. All came together nicely.

    Enjoy your weekend!

Love the look of that brush, Jared. I think that might have been my pick to win your March Madness brush tournament last year actually.

Thanks, Fuzzy. Can't remember where I got this one from, but most likely from a BST source. It's in great shape and is a fun razor to use.

I didn't compare yet. I'll get some comparisons when the Wolfman comes back. One giant difference is the underside of the WM cap is mirror polished...BB is machine marked.
