just curious on how many on here have served or are currently serving. I am active duty navy been active for 9 years. Been a little bit every where. I do want to thank all the veterans that are here for there service as it was them that made it possible for us today!
My nephew just graduated from Marine boot camp this month. Between my Parents, brothers and sisters, and along with our kids, we have had someone in all of the services. Merchant Marine (Dad - NY - mumansk 1938-1941), Navy ( also Dad-retired), WAAC (Mom), Army (sister), Air Force (me), Coast Guard (nephew), Marines (nephew).
United States Air Force. 20 years. A wonderful military career. Great assignments. I still miss it after discharge in 1987.
My husband served in the Army Reserves for many years, retiring as a Major. Subsequently he was recalled and deployed for a year to South Korea and then the next year to Iraq.
I understand. I still have several folks I'm still in contact with. I too have no regrets and was honored to be there among great people. Thank you - MARINE!
