That makes since! A couple of years ago I saw 2 Gem lather catchers on the bay; they looked new they had been cleaned so well. I am keeping my eyes open for one again and I’m trying to brace myself for the price they’ll want for it.
FAVuary Vintage Injector; Radio Button Poll Covered! Barbasol Arctic Chill Vulfix 2235 Super badger Suribachi & warm water Schick Golden 500 (J-3) Schick Chick blade Barbasol Pacific Rush AS I've now hit my targets for the month; Vintage & Modern - DE & SE. Even scored a Menthol Monday! Straight from the can Barbasol is fluffy, so I shoot it into a bowl and punch it down. After knocking some of the propellant out a couple trickles of water juice it up. Just fine tuning with no molestation. First injector I ever used was a J-1 that shaves much like the Hydro-Magic. That little lever on the bottom of the handle makes for easy rinse out. Couple TSD members have cut the handles short on their later model Schicks to give the feel of earlier types. Not me. I like the long handle. Three easy passes with the cool cream spread by a fluffy badger, some S-Slides just for fun, and I'm sporting a DFS. Had to splash on Barbasol AS to finish. I've also got the Brisk that I prefer scent wise, but the discontinued PR goes so well with the Arctic Chill. Good Shaves Y'all
Favorite February February 12 - A week with Williams. Day 4 Razor - Gem MMOC Blade - ASR Carbon - CVS (1) Soap - Williams Brush - Semogue 620 Boar Post - Alum Fresh blade in the OCMM and we're on Day 4 of the Williams week. I've just trying to stay consistent with how I get the lather and try and tweak it better each time and.....well it isn't getting worse. First pass I had lather through the end of the pass even if it was thinning. Second pass it seemed like it faded a bit faster but that may have been me slowing down a bit. I added a touch up run on my neck and got a bit heavy handed so the alum is a bit warm but not bad. No real complaints. Nice DFS finish so all's well that ends well.
Are Drug Store Cowboys friends with the High Tech Rednecks? Must be like the Russian/Yakuza Blade Cartels team up. I doubt those Store Brand Generic products are made by the retailers. There's a chance they buy it from the same manufacturers and have it labeled for discount prices. Maybe like canned vegetables - a little more water, a few less of the same corn kernels. That lets the store sell generic for cheaper.
Very nice. Not only does it make her a great wife....it means she has things organized the way she wants now. Mine does the same thing occasionally. If my stuff is moved around for "my convenience" I guarantee hers was considered as well. But, that's the way it should be.
Ahhhhh. The rookie mistake of all rookie mistakes. We've all been there but usually only once. That's one that you never forget. I still double check the TTO knob anytime I'm using a TTO. Even if I hadn't touched it from the night before.
I'm sensing a theme today. It's Rookie Mistake day! Well, once in awhile we all need to be reminded that the steel really is sharp!
Something tells me the seller considers those as interchangeable. Or else is bad at sorting them to get the right one. Hopefully the dispute will fix it for you. Chinese seller I'm assuming?
I have had the same experience with any carbon blade I've used. I tried leaving the doors on a TTO loose and dipping in alcohol, which theoretically should displace the water then evaporate very quickly, but only taking them out and drying them has really made a real difference.
Yes they travel in the same circle...sometimes are the same people. I agree. All the AS comes out of the same zillion gallon tank and just goes into different brand bottles. I just wish someone would make a store brand AV musk that was a close match . or better yet bring back Barbasol musk.
Annnndddddddd lookie whut I gotteded. A big THANK YOU goes out to @wristwatchb. I mentioned to Charlie that if he put his Feather up for PIF I was going to get in on that. I have not tried a real pain stick. He hooked me up with the razor and 2 packs of blades!! He also sent a Palmolive stick..which I love...and a cake of Haslinger Sandelholz. Which I know nothing about!! This is going to be FUN!!!
The scent of scorched wool is a bit much but....oh wait.....you mean the Stirling. I personally like it. It's definitely unique with the mix of lemon/citronella/eucalyptus. It will wake you up in the morning. It's not a scent I'd use every day, but I have it in my rotation.
I know right??? Feels good to be me right now!!! I think gray flannel will rock with the soap cake scent!!
