That would be dangerous.....having a work colleague who is into our obsession hobby. I used Stirling Barbershop for a rule (with a Schick L1 injector of all things) in October 2016 and decided it wasn't for me. I used it faithfully the whole month but there was something in the scent that wasn't my favorite, some type of caramel or sweet element. Most everyone loves it so I'm probably in the minority on not liking that scent.
Wednesday February 14 - on TSD focus Schick E2 / Personna ( 2 ) Alluminati Envy White badger brush TSD Lavender lanolin soap Alum and TSD Milk Aftershave Lavender Another good shave today with the TSD software and the vintage injector.
I'm with you, Perry, it's not my favorite either. I can tolerate the soap, but the aftershave is off-putting. The sweet note of vanilla or whatever it is doesn't belong in a barbershop scent.
Happy Anniversary, Jim! I'm sure your Bride has survived...er...uh...enjoyed all 18 of those "Jim years."
Well, far be it from me to brag, but my anniversary is May 16. It is both National Sea Monkey Day and International Pickle Day.
Clint. Thanks, Clint. The Alluminati was my first relatively expensive brush and the one that made a believer out of me regarding badger knots. Until then, I didn't believe badger knots could be any good compared to synthetic because mine had had all the backbone of jellyfish. (I still have a large Surrey badger brush I call The Dustmop because about all it's good for is dusting off my computer screen...). I think how wonderful that Envy White knot feels every time I use it. I'm pretty sure, btw, that it was your sincere praise for the Envy White knots that caused me to buy this brush, Clint @clint64. I have never regretted doing so, so pat yourself on the back for some first class Enabling there...
I've mostly been shaving every other day since I started using the Parker SRX. The shaves have been very close and skipping a day between shaves helps keep some minor neck irritation at bay while I'm learning how to use the shavette. I strained my lower back on Monday (did something dumb without thinking) and haven't felt like shaving in the morning since then. My back is doing better, but it will take a couple of weeks to get it back to 100%. It will be fun mowing down three days of growth tomorrow after the extra strength Tylenol kicks in. I despise taking pain meds, but it beats consuming vast quantities of pickled Sea Monkeys. In the meantime, I'm following along and enjoying everyone's amazing photos and setups this month.
Thanks Clint. Periodic lower back pain has been my nemesis for many years, and muscle spasms in my lower back cause some of the worst pain I've ever experienced. If I would lose a few pounds, stretch, and exercise more consistently, I wouldn't have any problems. In other words, I can't blame anyone or anything but myself. My Bride watches a 20-minute basic Yoga video everyone morning on YouTube and follows along with all the movements. After a few weeks, it eradicated her back pain. I know what to do...just gotta do it.
