No worries. You have two ears. If you take one off with the Pain Stick, put it down, and finish up with another razor after you return from the ER.
You have a pack of Professional blades (black carton) and another pack of Professional Super blades (white carton). The Pro Supers are thicker, and there is more blade exposure. I don't think you'll find a lot of difference between the two blades. I've used both in the Pain Stick, and I get a slightly closer shave with Pro Supers.
@PickledNorthern (and other junior shavers that live in cheap hotels) have commented about the head geometry of the Pain Stick not being very forgiving. For that reason, I would also go with Pro Super blade since it has more exposure, and the head is positioned further away from the skin surface.

Truthfully (and I know this is frowned upon here), I don't think you'll see much difference between the blades. I'd be interested in your thoughts after you compare the two.
Several one-eared guys on the 30DC use Pain Sticks, and I'm sure they'll jump in with more hints and suggestions.
The Pain Stick is more challenging for me to use than the Parker SRX, and I only stay in cheap hotels when I'm on vacation.
Have fun!
