  1. Prep: Hot towel
    Pre shave: Prep
    Razor: Sensor Excel
    Blade: N/A
    Brush: Rough,No Name Boar
    Soap: Stirling’s 'Texas on Fire'
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / The Sudsy Soapery: Lavender & Peppermint Aftershave Splash

Apart from catching my top lip, which was my own careless fault.....that was an impeccable shave...
  2. Friday 16th February

    Olive Oil Soap
    Vitos Pre Shave Cream
    Proraso Green Soap
    Omega 10049 Boar Brush
Muhle R41 (2011) with a Treet Tez Carbon Steel Blade
    Alum Block and Rinse
    Lacura Duo-Lift Moisturiser
    Alcolada Glacial AS
    Oudh Khalifa 2020 EDP

I would say the Treet Tez Blade and the R41 is not a 'Marriage made in Heaven'. The end result was achieved but the blade was not as I would have wished for in use.......not very smooth. Amazingly it passed the Alum test OK.
2 passes and a touch up for a very smooth face, but I won't repeat this combination again. Too many other choices.

    Classy Friday
Gondolier has been among my favorite scents for almost the whole time I've been traditional shaving. Just a classy cologne with jasmine and other things going on. This was a superb shave once again with Personna and the Vision.

  12. Damn, such a wonderful three pass shave that turned out absolutely BBS. The Glacial Spearmint soap gave me tons of frigidly-cold lather that was so rich, slick and protective. The matching balm felt cold as well as so soothing, and the Snake Bite went on almost painfully-cold, but in such a good way!

Have a great day and a restful weekend!

    Razor: Gillette Fat Boy
Blade: Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus (Shave #1)

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Haslinger Schafmilch today. 20 seconds to load the oscal11/TGN High Mountain White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Sandpiper aftershave.

As yesterday's shave was so pleasing, I decided to ride with the same set-up again this morning. And I was rewarded with a 2 pass, minor touch-up, BBS shave. I really like the post shave feel of the Clubman Reserve.
