No pics because I’m in a country with terrible imternet. Parker SRX, Perma Sharp saloon blades and Arko
I’m in on this thread. I mostly use them when I am away from home working, so my picture posting percentage goes way down hill. I have four that I rotate through: Feather DX folding, Parker SRX, Irving Barber and a CJB Pain Stick. As much as I love to use my straights when I am home and have time, all four of my shavettes give me just as high quality, irritation free shaves with zero added time investment.
If you watch the video I made for Charlie you will notice not as much talking. Lol. Great hi class shave though.
Glad you're here. We've been expecting you. You're actually the shavette expert. You learned open blade on shavette, I converted from SR. Please jump in with any thoughts for new shavette users at any time. This should be fun, we'll have about seven guys for March who are new to shavette.
I'll be sure to catch the vid later. You're so right, it's scary sharp, and the balance point is different than a folding razor handle. But, as you note...it's capable of some very nice results.
A couple unposted shaves from this week: -Feather DX -Duke 3 Pure -Stirling Piacenza -Parker SRX w/Bic Chrome -Stirling Black and White -Stirling Barbershop Since I have brought the SRX into use, I have been digging through my DE stash, and can’t really tell any difference between blades. I think the fact that there is almost no exposure, the blade is straight and clamped throughout its length, takes the possibility of flex and chatter out of play.
