Do you like them? I am curious in trying some, but I just picture guacamole all over my face and I get grossed out. :sick007 Is the scent overwhelming? Some input would be nice
The only one I have tried is TOOBS Avocado, when I first bought it about 2 years ago....the scent was unusual and wasn't my favorite and I dis-liked it as I continued to use it it really grew on me, and now I love it... My first tub is now almost gone and I have bought another one to replace it. For me, it's a great moisturizing cream (white in color ) and the avocado oil seems to be very conditioning. Makes a great lather too I now really like the scent too, and it leaves my brushes smelling great...a keeper The scent is hard to describe, I wouldn't say it's overwhelming.....but I usually like the stronger scented products..it is a really fresh scent that smells nothing like avocados or guacamole, hehehe
I bought some Taylor's a while back and hated it. Functionally, it was fine (but then, I haven't met a cream that wasn't). MUCH too strong a scent, though for the life of me, I can't remember what it smelled like (not avocados). Only used it 2-3 times and traded it for a huge tub of J.M. Fraser's.
Its good stuff but I hate the scent. Much like Tea Tree. Thinking about trading my TOOBS Avocado for TOOBS Almond (any takers?).
TOBS doesnt smell like Avocado......SCS doesnt smell like it either. I believe both use avocado oil in them. TOBS .....well is gone! worked fine but the smell not for me. Avocado oil is apparently very moisturizing and nourishing.
well, anyone dumb.....i mean smart enough to rub avocado scented cream against their face has got to be a bit weird:happy102
I tried the TOBS avocado and quickly traded it away. I thought it smelled akward and too spicy. It also burnt my face like hell. First and only cream to ever do so.
TOBS avocado doesn't smell like avocado. It's more like a light floral something. I can barely smell it and it doesn't smell strongly enough for me to liken it to anything else. With so many great scented products out there, I'll pass on the avocado. TOBS Rose and Almond can wipe TOBS Avocado out of the water.
ToOBs Avocado is the only mass produced shaving cream that can provide enough moisturizing for shaving my legs. I always keep a tub around. And I like the smell.
personally, i think TOBS avocado is excellent...one of the best moisturizing of the TOBS creams. to me, it smells like fresh fruit which isn't a bad thing.
TOBS avocado cream smelled like a cut up cucumber (skin & all) to me. I gave my tub to my wife, as I could not stand its scent -- overwhelming to the point of being cloying and with a synthetic note. I have a jar of SCS Avocado & Shea Butter cream (before it became her base for the other scents, I belive), and it always reminds me of Bazooka bubble gum. It's a great cream, but I only tolerate the scent (good thing it fades quickly after washing off).
I didn't care for the smell of TOBS avacado. Didn't smell bad but didn't smell great either. I sold mine and will likely not buy it again.
The only one I have tried is TOBS. The scent is fine and the shave excellent. I have a replacement tub already waiting in the cabinet.
# 1 on the TOBS Avocado This is one of my favorite creams. It's probably the most moisturizing cream out there or at least in the top 5.
