Well today I received a shave bonanza in the mail. First, knowing that B&M Latha is being discontinued, and I’d never tried Lavenda, I had to buy the set. While I was at it, I got Sinfonia too.

At the same time, a care package of goodies came from Chris @SharptoothC, including this Edward Scissorhands-esque device. Funny, I was just thinking about the MAYhem Awards accumulating in my shave cabinets and wondering if I should get back to the straight so I could maybe try the pain stick in May. Now this thing will just taunt me until then. I mean it’s no finger shaver or blade on a twig, but realistically, somebody’s gotta stay out of the hospital to video the awards ceremony and mail out the awards. Which way to the cliff, boys!

 

Those things scare me a bit.

 

OK, when the inventor of the “Sti-vette” says that, I’m now officially worried.

 

No worries. I'll hold your beer.

 

What the heck??? Is that a razor??? I've never seen anything like that before.

 

It's just a shavette. Jump in!

I've been on a mini vacation with my family up to Great Wolf Lodge in Dallas. Lots of fun, and lots of water. That place knows how to keep kids moving. I bet they sleep well tonight. I have shaved since Wednesday, and probably won't until tomorrow, as I have to go into work tomorrow. We are about to head right back out to a church home group this evening. I hope everyone has been doing well.

Post-shave: Dickinson's Original WH, Nivea Men Sensitive PS Balm, Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla AS

Second Friday in a row for this Gillette Slim and no complaints. I got a close comfortable shave and the wife has been commenting positively on the AS.

I live 5 minutes from the one in NC. Actually attending an NRA fundraising event there tomorrow evening. With a lot of luck, I may walk out with some new toys.

Great Wolf is fun for us big kids too. My little ones like having my considerable mass in their tubes. Seems to all work better.

Great Slim, Dan!

 

Well, the extra mass is a detriment on the toddler slides. I got stuck multiple times with my littlest daughter.

My extra mass also seemed to ensure I ended up going backwards on the slide with a big drop. My older kids enjoyed that part. I felt like the tube was going to tip over. We had a great time, though.

 

Yep, the extra lb's make you go backwards on the big half pipe. Good stuff!

Laughing at you getting stuck....you are a good sport/dad. Kudos to you.
